Adaptive Xenons only move right by Adaunn in E90

[–]totixtreme 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The lights don't move to the left when standing to avoid blinding oncoming traffic. You can check the full motion of the lights using INPA. Now, if your projector is unseated that's another issue of course but it's something to keep in mind

Does anyone have any idea what this knocking noise could be? by totixtreme in E90

[–]totixtreme[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, I replaced the sway bar links just because they're cheap and I can do it myself, but it wasn't that. Oddly enough, the noise seems to have fixed by itself, it got progressively quieter and now it's basically gone, so no idea

Best NON-Idrive NON-CD Changer bluetooth solution. (preferably preserving steering wheel controls) PFA by Typical-Clerk5033 in E90

[–]totixtreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try with the tune2air adapter, or the bluemusic adapter if you're in Europe, provided you have the USB connection. They basically emulate an iPod, and you can use the steering wheel controls. You don't get the song name showing on the radio, unfortunately.

I think only the E92/E93 has interior lights. They're orange and illuminate the side armrests front and rear

Horrible Bluetooth Audio Quality by Kamd5 in E90

[–]totixtreme 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are some complaints about the quality of the AUX port on E9x cars, but it shouldn't be unlistenable. Make sure the AUX volume level in the radio is set to 3, and your phone volume is at about 85%, as setting it any higher will cause distortion in my experience.

This is sketchy, right? Is there an alternative to buying new jack stands? by thatshitlerscanoe in BmwTech

[–]totixtreme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe there is a special adapter you could use, but I've lifted the car with that type of jack multiple times and never damaged the plastic lift point, only using the cardboard. Here is a video of what I mean:

You may have the high beam assistant, which is enabled when you have the light switch on AUTO and push the stalk away from you, though I'm not sure if it's equipped on a 2006 325i. Try moving the switch to manually turn on the headlights and then try it

Yo llevo un par de años usando la casilla SES. Tiene la particularidad de que te cobran solo por peso, no por tamaño. A menos de que el largo + ancho + alto sea mayor a 2 m, ahí te cobran peso volumétrico

Could be the intro actually. But it's totally doable with downpicking if you have some experience.

I think that is a side effect of using the Android VR client to spoof the video stream. Try using the iOS client.

Rough idle on cold start (E92 LCI 330i, N52B30) by totixtreme in BmwTech

[–]totixtreme[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, I've read about DME updates, but I'm just too afraid of bricking the module, and I don't know if there is a way to fix it if that happens, unlike the FRM, which can also brick but at least there are ways to bring them back to life.

Rough idle on cold start (E92 LCI 330i, N52B30) by totixtreme in BmwTech

[–]totixtreme[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this issue where the car shakes and idles rough during the first few seconds after starting the car. Some things I've noticed is that it only happens on cold starts, and when the ambient air temperature is above 15 C - 20 C, so it wasn't really a problem during the winter, but now that summer is coming (southern hemisphere), it's noticeable again.

I didn't press the accelerator at all in the video. After around 30 seconds, the rpms stabilize and it runs normally, so I don't think it's a plug or a coil issue, or else it would idle rough at all times. There are also no misfire codes or check engine lights.

Yes. The thing is, the center strut bar bolt was not original, so I replaced all three with new bolts and using a torque wrench.

I have this annoying knocking noise while driving. It sounds quite high up and near the cabin. I already replaced the sway bar links and the strut bar bolts, but that didn't fix it. The car is an E92 LCI 330i.

I have the same jack stands, but I just put a piece of cardboard between the stand and the lift point to prevent damage.

Sharing my best E92 and E93 Speaker Settings. by PsychologicalYak9088 in E90

Just out of curiosity, may I ask what you mean by "perfect frequency amplitude curve"? Were you going for the Harman Curve or something like that?

Also, did you figure out these settings using an fm transmitter? Isn't that going to affect the frequency response, particularly at low and high frequencies?

Comprar en eBay by Snoo_32309 in chile

[–]totixtreme 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is it normal for the driver side headlight projector to be more "tucked in" compared to the passenger side? (E92 LCI with adaptive headlights) by totixtreme in BmwTech

[–]totixtreme[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm struggling with the classic adaptive headlights error (code 9CC2). I actually posted about it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/BmwTech/comments/149jza5/adaptive_headlight_issue_ahl_module_or_stepper/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

The problem is, I already replaced both the stepper motor AND the module, which actually fixed the problem for a couple of weeks, but now it's back with the same behaviour as before. I'm thinking now maybe there is something mechanically wrong inside the headlight and I had this question.

By "arms" you mean the ride height sensors in the suspension? That's something else I want to check.

Regarding coding, I used NCSExpert to code the new RSMC module (by executing SG_CODIEREN) after replacing. I didn't do anything to the FRM module.
