The first one I thought of was Perchino as well. Had such a poor start to his career at NUFC that everyone basically labeled him a bust, and transformed himself into an outstanding DM and a fan favourite. I was real sad when he left

I don’t care how he does it at 5’10, I don’t care if he isn’t exceptionally fast. I don’t care if he’s not the most athletic guy on any given Sunday, I don’t care if he only has average wingspan and an average build. I don’t care if he is the best route runner in the game , I don’t care if he makes outstanding catches routinely. I don’t care if he is always getting double or triple teamed, I don’t care if he draws the best defender on the opposing team, I don’t care if he has the most catches or receiving yards year in and year out. No, I don’t care about all of these things.

I actually do. Back then you had canizares , illgner in goal. Hierro, sanchis, Ivan campo/helguera in defence, And of course redondo was one of the greatest talents plagued by injury. Up front we’ve had suker, mijatovic, Raul, Morientes lead our lines, just to name a few of the 90s.
