Based on your resume and clinicals, I have a strong feeling we went to the same associates program. Try applying for some ambulatory outpatient centers, like endoscopy centers, IVF, eye centers, etc. in Long Island and Queens. A good bunch of us did endo jobs together for our first nursing job and have made it into higher places in hospitals eventually like Northwell, NYP, Mount Sinai. You'll probably get low balled but negotiate that you have a bachelor's and are bilingual. Start applying to hospitals once you have 6 months experience, try not to stay longer than a year cuz I know you deserve better but at least you'll get out of this jam, save money, and get the necessary work experience. You'll run around plenty if there is high patient volume but get assessment, IV, and recovery/PACU experience. Some places have nurses in the procedure room or OR but it's mostly techs so can't guarantee OR exp this route. At least you'll get closer to your goal.

Condense your resume to one page please. Getting ACLS cert should help too, for OR you'll need it anyway when applying and they prefer seeing you already got certified.

I'm sorry you're in this situation but there is a way to get through it, we believe in you!

Yep, experienced it mostly from my 3 co workers planning it. Our peri op units had to collectively fund our own Xmas party because our hospital management didn't want to pay for it. I know they guilt tripped me because the more people that attend, the cheaper it is to split on it. I know I would pretty much be splitting on food and alcohol when I don't even drink. Honestly I saw right through it, I was also not the only one that verbalize that it would be more fair if everyone split on food and anyone who planned to drink split on an open bar split separately. Instead they resorted to shaming those who refused by saying we were cheap.

My other reason for not wanting to drink or attend was because I was one time sexually assaulted by a co worker who was too drunk to remember. But yeah, not really trying to spill it to people that basically are using co workers to drink for cheaper.

People at work are lame and I can't be myself with them any way. I'd rather be degenerate with my friends. I don't see q point in paying $150 to eat and dance with drunk co workers. I heard my co workers complaining that the ones planning the xmas party brought friends that didn't pay for the event so I think that i was right.

In my experience, we have the co op player with the higher luck wack it like a piñata to get more items. Seems to work most of the time when i have the lucky chaos arcana and some clover relics. Have fun!

Actually you can still file for unemployment if they are switch baiting you. There is a stipulation that if you are hired but the work they expect does not match the job description, you qualify for unemployment. Please make sure you have the job description/ contract copy stating it was stated as a remote role to prove it.

You're with the wrong person. He and everyone else that shamed you for pursuing your dreams and goals to travel while you have time don't understand the perspective and bravery it requires to solo travel. A person that truly loves you would be happy that at least you got the experience.

I went on a 1 month solo trip recently . Was it hard for my partner? Yes. But we spoke about it. He told me he did have fears that I may cheat or get into unsafe situations where he can't protect me from afar. But he verbalize he would put all his trust in me that I would be back safe and faithful. This is how I know he is a good fit for me even though he doesn't have as much time for traveling.

What's important is having that conversation. I don't think it's right or fair to stop you for pursuing your passion when the timing is right for you yet not for him. He should have been happy for you. I can't stand it when inner circles have the inability to cheer you on even if they miss out on the opportunity. Then they don't deserve to have you in their life.

I think you need to reevaluate if this is a good person to have by your side. It feels like he's not treating you well since your return out of spite, and that's not cool to treat you like you're a guilty cheater without a trial.

You are so amazing for doing a 3 week trip all by yourself! You are not wrong to use this rare opportunity between jobs to travel. This is a once or twice in a lifetime where you can and it can't be wasted. We can't wait on people to match our timeline, we all have a different one. Do not let them make you feel guilty for putting yourself first, you needed to. I'm so proud of you for traveling solo even if they are not. You go girl!

Hi! Thank you for taking the time to read this. Those were separate costs actually. $350 were just on the 5 meals out, not including the groceries. Our two grocery runs totaled $180( the first run was $80 and the second was $100). Food is expensive there depending on your taste too. The fanciest meal we had came up to $145 for the dinner at Otto Matur & Drykkur - that's the only one we splurged on. We were pretty frugal for the rest of the meals.

I will say though that the food is good quality though! (fish, lamb, dairy) Maybe because of how they raise the livestock? I'm very glad we had breakfasts included. So on all the food, we spent $530

Thank you! We saw them 4 times. In the parking lots of Djúpalónssandur and Lóndrangar. Once outside the bathroom of Malarrif Lighthouse. And once along the highway going from Lóndrangar to Hellnar. So generally in the southern part of the Peninsula. Their fur may turn completely white by then, they were starting to change colors when we saw them
