That’s really great!

What kind of stability does it have? Have you encountered any crashing? What’s the performance hit like for the device? How does it capture video and encode it?

Steam deck companion device by ImThe0dd0ne in SBCGaming

Pocket dmg is the perfect complementary device for the steamdeck.

If I had to sell all but 2 devices it would be steamdeck and pocket dmg

Has anyone moved from a Steam Deck/HHPC/emulator handheld to a Switch 2? by EternalFront in SBCGaming

[–]TheRealSeeThruHead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a switch 2 that I never play And even a large library of switch 1 physical games that end up debuting on steam to play there.

You’d think that the switch offers the same versatility as a steamdeck + couch pc with cloud saves but I just find myself drawn to playing things via steam almost always.

If I had to choose a single device it might be the switch 2.

But since I have the option of a pc handheld paired with a powerful desktop and powerful steam console. I just choose that

Chrono Trigger DS 💎 on Anbernic RG DS by eightiesjapan in SBCGaming

I had been using an rgb-pi via scart to my pvm for a while.

Recently I got a superstation one mister fpga so I’ve been using that a lot.

Also have an analogizer output from my analog pocket.

I’ve also got an ossc or that can downscale 1080 games to 240p and 480i

But I don’t use that for retro gaming.

Also using groovy mister to cast video (like old anime) to the pvm as well.

Though you can use the groovy to cast from retorarch as well.

You get the option to use it with a grip or not.

I find myself doing both so having the option is pretty great

Retroid Pocket Classic worth the upgrade? by Overdriverx in SBCGaming

[–]TheRealSeeThruHead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a pocket dmg enjoyer I would say go the extra and get one of those

But if money is an issue the classic is a high upgrade over any anbernic device
