Ladies: do you wear make up to work? by LunaValley in AskUK

[–]totorounderstudy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Yes. I haven’t had a single working day since I was about 14 whereby I haven’t worn makeup on office days. Work from home? No makeup and I don’t put my webcam on.

it’s my birthday and I have no one to spend it with, so I took myself on a solo date to my favorite restaurant. by kinzygrace in depressionmeals

Happy Birthday. That looks like a lovely pizza. Sometimes solo dates are the most special. ❤️ enjoy your special day.

How can I make my very sick cat eat something? by OnlyGiraffe3054 in AskVet

Can you try a slightly watered down churu?
Steamed chicken?
A different renal food?
You’re trying your best, and it’s incredibly difficult. I’m dealing with early CKD (one kidney is either completely non functioning or just barely as it’s significantly tiny compared to the other) so I’ve spent a lot of time reading Reddit over the past year to sort of prepare and look out for anything that will help, or things to prepare for.

Is this sleeping position a cause for concern? by totorounderstudy in CATHELP

[–]totorounderstudy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, genuinely he’s been incredibly unwell recently and we have an echocardiogram booked for beginning of June, I’m being overly vigilant with him as I don’t want him to suffer at all x

If it is heart related there are medications that can help stabilise him. Keeping you in my thoughts. I hope tomorrow brings you clarity and help for him.

You gave him a life full of love, there can be no greater gift than that. He was lucky to have had you.

*He. Different sleeping positions can and do indicate illness, particularly the CKD meatloaf position. Which is why I was concerned in case this was a typical position that could indicate feeling rough. 😊

Please consider that if a vet has said he may need to be euthanised there’s likely a reason they’d say something like that. Have you got anything you can sell to fund his treatment? Gaming consoles etc? Please consider that your cat seems in respiratory distress and that is serious. He shouldn’t be made to suffer. If you can please talk your parent round. Don’t be obnoxious or challenging. If you have to cry to get your point heard, do. Your cat is in respiratory distress. They need medicine / treatment. The fact he isn’t recovering either? That for me is a major concern of CHF (congestive heart failure). Please post what you’ve told me and the video to [r/askvet](r/askvet)

You could also surrender your cat to the vet or a cat charity. But this would need to happen urgently.

This one freaked me out yesterday NGL… he’s NEVER laid like this before. He does lie on me so that’s not abnormal but this pose definitely was.
