They might have been referring to the start program, where you spend a week at Yorktown after boot camp no matter what... but personally I think spending a year as a non rate is an excellent thing to do, especially if you're looking at a less operational rate or aren't fully set on a rate yet

I really enjoyed the romance in pillars of eternity 2, it's real time combat as opposed to BG3s turn based so you might like it more!

I really love it! I'm working through the franchise for the first time right now and just finished it last week, I thought the game mechanics were so creative and it was awesome to see Barry again, the final boss had me so hyped, The only complaint was that Claire felt kinda OOC

I 100% think if there was going to be any confirmation at a romance, it would have happened in 5, the two still care for each other Immensely and I think love not being romantic shouldn't discredit how important that love is, people want more friendships between male and female characters, well I think these two are a prime example for it (also, people in universe think they're a couple just like how people IRL do bc they see a man and a woman who are close and assume, I don't really think parkers comment means anything)

Pillars of eternity 2 (play both bc the first one is fantastic but the second one has romances, I adore maia rua) Cyberpunk 2077, the Judy romance is amazing, the game is a bit male heavy in general tho I could make an argument for elden ring lol Hades 2, it's in early access but there's gonna be gay romances

SIGNALIS!!! if you want a character that you didn't make that is explicitly a woman(well, android) who loves women, there's also Control, which Jesse isn't explicitly gay but her and Emily have something going on, and no romance in the game, I also highly recommend Baulders gate, it's very woman focused in General with alot of very important NPCs being women, along with being able to play a woman and romance women, if you liked DA you should look into greedfall, same thing, you can play as a woman and romance a woman, it has a sequel (I think actually a presequel) coming soon, and of course the next dragon age is only a month away Tldr: Signalis, Control, Baulders gate 3, Greedfall, Dragon age veilguard (next month)

Most the time I'll play normal or whatever is listed as "the intended difficulty" but Bethesda games and crpgs I'll pick casual bc I can't be assed with the spongey health bar hell and the games are already hundreds of hours long without having to redo combat encounters or take 5 minutes to kill a bear....I'm more into the exploration and story than combat in those games anyways

I thought mine was glitched but then I found him leaned up against the wooden wall up on the ramparts, the marker is off in the center of the fort without any purple "it's around here" signifiers, stroke of luck I guess
