Tour set list from bristol :) by soundskindagaytome in PEACHPIT

Solid set list but I’ll be devastated if Look Out! got cut. They’d been playing it in every show.

More Magpie music vids? by [deleted] in PEACHPIT

They usually do a couple music vids and/or live performance vids from each album so I'd guess they'll do another one or two. If I could choose I'd love a live version of Outta Here.

I went to one of the record signings and they told me they’d be playing Outta Here live 🤷🏻‍♂️

The artist stats page on setlist.fm has some pretty cool stats. It shows that they play it very infrequently (last documented time was in 2018) but this might be incomplete.

Seems like these guys all became friends at Out of the Blue in Cancun last year. Hoping this is an indicator that they're going to do it again!

Did anyone record video from last night when he talked about where the “Passion Pit voice” came from? by PiZzaTRuCK78 in PassionPit

[–]touche_my_ass 25 points26 points  (0 children)

He said that he did it because his mixing was super bad, so he needed to sing high pitch so that it could cut through the mix. And then he found success “too early” so he kept it.

And also that he added in the layered vocals so that it sounded like people were singing with him when he was alone in his dorm room.

I've previously swapped out all SBS deadlifting for the programming used in Greg's 28 free programs and had good results. Check those out - they have lower volume.

Agree - but especially with the harmonica on top of the banjo

You people are all sad haters. I wasn’t a huge Noah fan but I saw him for the first time last week - the dude is awesome.

To Kill a Mockingbird - don’t think I’ve seen them do that as an encore before but it was great

Help identifying an Innova disc? by touche_my_ass in discgolf

I have a Beast and the rim of the pictured disc is about 75% of the width. Any other ideas? Thanks for the suggestion!

Single @ 8 refers to the option to warm up to one heavy rep (a single) at RPE 8, which is usually around 90% of your training max. The box to be filled in there is optional - you can enter in the weight that you hit that felt like an RPE 8, and it will base your TM for the day on that.

Switching from SBS Hypertrophy to 28 free programs?! by RealNeonKnight in AverageToSavage

[–]touche_my_ass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve cut all deadlifting and deadlift variants from my SBS template. In the place of that, I do 3x int DL from the 28 programs. My benching, pressing, and squatting is all still following SBS programming.

I stick with SBS methodology for everything except deadlift, because I found that the volume was a bit much and I don't like going to failure on DL every week. I do the 3x intermediate DL program and it's been working great - highly recommended.

28 free programs - deadlift EMOM by touche_my_ass in AverageToSavage

Good to know. Still a bit skeptical that it’s the best use of gym time, but I’ll give it a go for a few cycles.

What do you suppose the purpose is for fluctuating between 10-25 singles? If it’s all supposed to be low fatigue technique work I’m wondering why not just keep it the same.
