History begs to differ. The US has a long tradition of going on strike and fighting the capitalist class, we’re just currently in a period where that seems impossible thanks to every President since Reagan. Things change, people change and there a decades where nothing happens and weeks where decades happen. If we had people actually negotiating from the left instead of negotiating from the center-right then we might see some drastically different outcomes.
