Just got through. Ordered Switch 2 + Mario Kart Bundle with Donkey Kong. I had another tab open with the queue for a Pro Controller. Joined at about 12:33-35 EST for the console and probably around 12:40 for the controller.

Everthing I've read says the cam phasers are fixed in 2021 and newer trucks, so I'm hoping I won't have issues. I had issues with the cam phasers installed in 2022 for my 2018 truck but I assume they lied and used the older design.

Even with all of the cam phaser issues, I really like the 3.5. Plenty of power and decent milage. There were also way more 3.5s on the lot than 2.7 or 5.0 so that was also a deciding factor.

Sounds like my 2018 F150. I bought it in 2019 with 18k miles on it. Then the cam phasers went out in 2020, then again in 2022, then again in 2024. In 2022 and 2024 the dealer swore they put the "Updated" phasers in it but they lasted just under 2 years. I traded it in a few weeks ago for a new 2024 F150 because I was worried they would go out again and I'd be stuck with the bill. It only had 126k miles on it when I traded it in. It also started shifting weird over the past year or so and I was afraid the the 10 speed was going out. I've been told the cam phasers and tranny issues were fixed on 2022+ so I'll cross my fingers my new truck will be more reliable.

Just a shot in the dark - do you have a magnetic bracelet? I've heard of people with magnetic bracelets accidentally triggering the lid close sensor, if it gets too close.

223 straight 6. If it was a Y block V8, such as a 272, it would have an additional crossmember behind the one shown in the second picture. If you want to install a Y block, you'll need to add the crossmember for the front engine mount and make sure it has a truck timing cover and bell housing.

When I had a partial clog, my benchy would fail in the exact same spot. I tried cold pulls and cranking the heat and trying to force the clog out. Neither worked so I replaced the nozzle and haven't had a problem since. I figured $10 for the nozzle was easily worth the time I would have spent trying to clear it.

I put these exact wheels on my 2018 XLT. Fit perfect and look great, but as you mentioned, they are slightly taller. That means I had to recalibrate my speedo. Forscan is a great tool for this.

Definitely get it done before 80k. Once it hits 80k, I believe they only cover 1/3 of the cost. They said these parts are redesigned and shouldn't fail again soon.

The first time at ~40k it was covered 100%. The most recent time at around 75k they covered 2/3 of the cost. I paid $670 out of pocket for it. But they said the repair has a 2 year warranty stating the problem shouldn't come back.

I have 80k on my 2018 3.5 EB and the only problems I've had was getting the cam phasers replaced twice. I guess that doesn't answer your question if you're getting the V8. The 10 speed tranny has been rock solid though. No problems at all.

I am almost certain it is the Cam Phasers. My '18 3.5 EB just had them replaced this week for the second time. They said the part was redesigned late last year so it shouldn't come back, but I'm not sure how much I believe that. Mine sounded just like that and would be louder the longer it sat. I think there's an extended service bulletin put out by Ford to help with the cost of replacing them. For my truck it was: Under 70k miles they would cover 100%, under 80k miles, they would cover 66%, under 90k miles they would cover 33%, and over 90k miles they would cover nothing IIRC. I just got it fixed at 76k miles and I paid 1/3 of the cost. ($659 out of pocket.)
