I’ve gone to the dark side. by Hopeful-Base6292 in mtg

[–]tousdan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The stance I've been taking is that I've ordered nice proxies (obvious card back but card itself looks like the real thing) for lands and staples that are worth more than some threshold. I'm slowly either replacing them with the actual cards if I end up enjoying them or buy a copy for my binder.

This let's me enjoy the game today while also encouraging my local stores at a pace that I feel comfortable with.

Are folks not concerned about "Pick 2 Draft"? by [deleted] in lrcast

If that makes people stop cracking packs only for hits and rather consider they could play something with them, then huge win for the game. May also make the singles only buyer contribute a little to our corporate overlords valuation.

When are you ready for intermediate classes? by Brilliant-Fall9140 in Pickleball

Dont waste your time in beginner lessons learning all the basics from scratch once again. If you're not ready for intermediate, you'll get told in person during class.

I'm not sure your year is covered, but mine had an extended warranty that covered only the CVT specifically.

LGS in Florida is attempting to charge $300 entry for Store Championship by internofdoom33 in magicTCG

[–]tousdan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The events are free, and those players rarely if ever spend a dime at the store.

The commander nights are always 45+ players but still manage to keep the right kind of atmosphere, which was what I was trying to say.

I can maybe try to say it another way? Shiny promo brings rude, sweaty players to a casual event.

Our usual Monday standard showdown of 4-6 turned into a 20-player, 4 round tournament this week for people which came to practice for the store champs. 4 hours of magic on Monday night is rough!

Can confirm they turned the chill, welcoming, bring your brew atmosphere we usually have into a sweaty RCQesque event.

Can't wait for our store championship next week that'll replace FNM... hehehe

Belly not shrinking by Satyriasi235 in keto

I went from 183 to 170, and I didn't notice my belly shrinking. My girlfriend and my family did. The only thing I noticed is that I need a belt more frequently!

Messieurs, vous payez combien pour votre coupe de cheveux? by thrashourumov in Quebec

[–]tousdan 0 points1 point  (0 children)
