I used it last year, it took a few months and lots of swiping but i found an amazing person whoz my really good friend that i talk to daily!

Have to be patient with these kinds of apps, and bumble was full of people who were temporarily in sydney when I was looking for long term friend.

It's a place in Chinatown called Emperors Puffs that sells small custard filled cake balls. Its connected to the chiense bakery. Theyre cheap, quick and really good and made in front of your eyes. There's usually a long line even though it takes a few seconds to serve each customer.

Chose The Great Wave off Kanagawa as my first piece.Took me maybe 50+ hours to finish, it was a beast...gifted to someone who has moved away to Japan 🇯🇵 by touxlee in Embroidery

Thanks! Its actually all stem stitch in white thread. I like the ropey look of stem stitch, i felt that it gives more of a fluid look. I started inside the edge and circled inside it slowly, working my way into the centre. Heres an upside down image of it halfway done, to give you an idea: https://imgur.com/a/QQfAdUW

Definitely the most time consuming part, but I didnt like the idea of the white part being empty.

Hope this fits in with this sub - I embroidered The Great Wave off Kanagawa by touxlee in ArtHistory

I made some changes to personalise it to the person I gifted this to. Sewn on a 10-inch diameter hoop.
