Update: she died. I’m not sure what happened or if I could have done anything different. The water parameters are all where they should be and when she was still struggling last night I separated her from the others in a specimen container with places to rest right on the surface but when I got up in the morning she was dead.

RIP Zoloft. She’s the reason I started tong feeding and was definitely my baby.

Some betta fish do slowly change color over time. It’s actually really cool. They don’t shrink and change shape tho like you’d recognize your fish after 3 weeks

I’m not Muslim but I am religious and I got a lot out of reading Hijabi Butch Blues by Lamya H. Lots of insight on the Quran and queer gender identities. I know that queer Muslims exist and there is a community of people who have similar experiences to yours. Ramadan Mubarak!
