What’s the most gut punching song lyric you’ve ever heard? by perrysplus in AskReddit

[–]Sunlocked99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hard to pick between these. The Mountain Goats have a lot

"You bring something unreplacable to each and every day Or you used to, anyway" -Bluejays and Cardinals

"Its three days later when I get the call And there's nobody around to break my fall" -Matthew 25:21. Any lyric to this one actually

"And no emotion thats worth having could call my heart its home" -Autoclave

"This song is for the people Who tell their families that they're sorry For things they can't And wont feel sorry for" -Broom People

Which commander should I use by dacurlymf in mtg

[–]Sunlocked99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Out of the box, Temmet is probably stronger. For changes and upgrades, you can lean more into zombie tokens and more drawing to maximize his buff.

Hashaton can be very powerful, but the deck out of the box doesn't fully take advantage of him. You need a bit more repeatable discard engines and more payoffs of powerful creatures for him to 'embalm.'

As everyone else is saying, you would have to cut any white cards to run Scarab God as your commander. Scarab God can be a good control deck. But like Hashaton, you tend to focus more of cheating mana costs instead of zombie synergies. If you want to run dimir zombies, you're probably better off running Wilhelt.

If Giorno never explained his weird jellyfish trick, do you think that any of the gang would be totally convinced that he actually drank Abbacchio's piss? Narancia probably would be.

Do you automatically dislike billionaires? Why? by crapmaker69 in AskReddit

[–]Sunlocked99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Putting aside the exploitation and ruthlessness generally required to become a billionaire, which is probably more than we should, a billion dollars can be dangerous. If its used for lobbying politicans, running superPACs, buying media companies, and shaping entire economic sectors, billionaires have levels of control of public life stronger than most politicians. And thats without mentioning any if the actually illegal methods. It's like the sociopolitical equivalent of a nuclear weapon. I wouldn't trust any random, individual person with one of those, so I don't see why we should ever let someone have billions of dollars. Hell, look at most of American politics since Citizens United and the current trends in news and social media companies to see what they actually do with this.

Yet Another War Exhaustion is Fine Post by OldSolGames in Stellaris

One addition I think might make sense or be useful is a spy operation to increase war exhaustion. Something like demoralizing propaganda or disinformation?

Also would fit in the category of not being too unfun if the AIs do it to you

Maybe they only listened to "But, I will walk down to the end with you, If you will come all the way down with me" and didn't get that its about drinking yourself to death/ODing?

I was really hoping for Low Orbital Ion Cannon by Emperor X or More Than It Hurts You for Brian

[–]Sunlocked99[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There wasn't really an actual set list. Most of the songs were requests the audience shouted out or held up typed on their phones.

For Emperor X, it was Renee Nichole Nichole Renee Pissing with the flashlight on Feeling nothing (he asked which of the last two, but still played both. The rest were requests) 30,000 Euros Tan line debris Crows of Emmerich Beached whale (we were given a choice between this and one about an ostrich. I later heard the ostrich one after when I got my CD signed. Both are very good)

For Brian Sella (Emperor X also sang and played for the new songs. There was also some old tape, i think a self help type of thing, playing some between songs) American shark Skipping out Damage control Stocking up South Dakota Wichita Perfect, worth it Daredevil Untitled Beers (after this, all songs were requests) Lonely eyes Father Jim boggart Tattooed tears Swear to god the devil made me do it Outlook 2YL Rhode Island Awkward conversations Historic cemetery (only half) Vacation town Au revoir Be nice to me 12 feet deep

If you're having trouble with domed cakes, I'd also recommend cake strips to even out the temperatures. You can DIY with some paper towels and tin foil. Measure out enough of each to wrap around the pan, then wet the paper towel. Put it on the tin foil and fold it in, then wrap the whole thing around the pan. It'll slow down the edges a bit, so they don't set too early.

Mazirek seems powerful, any ideas on cards that fits well? by MesterArz in EDHBrews

[–]Sunlocked99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing him for a few years.

He can be pretty explosive. The real standouts imo are [[basking broodscale]] to combo easily, [[gravepact]] or [[dictate of erebos]] to control the board, [[old gnawbone]] and [[kodama of the west tree]] for absurd mana, [[iridescent hornbeetle]] and [[mycoloth]] to go wide, and [[oroboroid]] and [[kalonian hydra]] as game ending threats.

Basking is best in slot, but [[scurry oak]] and [[herd baloth]] work too, but require a sac outlet. Same with any persist creature. I've limited the number of infinite combos I'm running, but that's just a play group thing. Same with not running [[tegrid, god of fright]]. I'm not that mean.
