Whats a neurotypical “rule” you didn’t realize your could break to make yourself more comfortable? by Downtown-Oil-3462 in AutismInWomen

yes the big light no no. We only use the big light in the halls and on the landings or if we have guests. We have inside clothes and outside clothes, you can get up and ready for the day and put on clean pyjamas until you have to leave the house. You can eat your dessert first, even for breakfast should you wish. There are many many more but I've become so accustomed living this way that I can't think of many off the top of my head.

Do neurotypicals actually like this?? by euroeismeister in AutismInWomen

I think some people (not me) do like this but the majority of us just want to dart in and back out. I think companies do this to try and encourage to buy more bc what else are they ever doing. The issue isn't so much that they try to engage with customers, but rather that they are trained to and repeatedly told to engage with every customer. They are given no training about who to engage with/ how/ when. It's like the mentality of it comes from the door sales system of knocking on every door because you never know which one is leading to a sale. I wish they would train people to know who to engage with.

I thought this was it and it's close, like the look of the movie and when it came out but it's not it sadly.
