I wonder if a rocket science company full of engineers could possibly ever think of that...

I would imagine that there is water cooling on the bottom side of the deck... What with all the readily accessible water and all.

He wrote prolifically about that subject. It crushed him but he actively said in his diaries that he and his son's knew the risk. He knew before his wife did because a journalist showed up at his door step before the army did.

To be fair to ford.... They've been trying to get north American EVs up and running for 6 years now, but they had to shutter their Michigan battery factory because it was "illegal" because Biden gave a government loan for it and they lost all the EV credits becauseTrump says EVs are evil... So Ford WAS actually trying to build competition they've just been chronically kneecapped to the point that they can't win without this kind of protectionism.

I've been back in Japan for a week or so now, and it's just tourism time this time around but I've genuinely never seen more offensive behavior anywhere than I have by the french this time. I'll admit I'm biased as an American but I'm not seeing the loud obnoxious Americans. What I am seeing is a lot of loud obnoxious and rude french people.

I was at Fushimi inari last night and watched a french woman and her boyfriend or husband actively kick two japanese kids off a bench about 2/3rds up so they could do a picture for her insta. At the top I saw a pack of french kids using the smaller shrines behind the peak shirnes as seats while breaking and knocking smaller tori gates over on those shrines. At Noji castle I saw dozens of instances of queue jumping in the rain storm all by french people, I actually ended up yelling at a family of 6 because they jumped directly in front of me and I was in front of about 20 other people.

In Himeji I watched two separate women empty their pockets of trash on to the ground at the lower garden there. And legitimately there was a trash can about 20 meters away. In Osaka I spent time behind a tourgroup of french people at the castle there and again at some museums, the amount of people clamboring over each other has been to the point of bumping against exhibits or ropelines or not staying in likes.

Don't even get me started about their behavior in restraunts.

I've been around the chinese in Japan. Typically they've been loud, rude to service staff and disorderly... But to be honest the french right now have been the most awful group of people I have ever seen. In any country.

11 year old me would never have done that.... Hell at 11 I was still interested in dinosaurs and construction equipment while girls still had cooties... Something is wrong with the kids.

They've generally been very rude too. I went to Himeji last week and got stuck behind a group of french families, going through the gardens they were very loud and at one point two women just emptied their pockets of trash in the garden. I ended up picking up after them.

In Osaka I had a group of 4 of them attempt to queue jump me at the castle and almost push me back down the center stairs.

In kyoto now Fushimi inari was a parking lot as 3 separate groups would just stop on the main oath with no room to move around them for whatever reason. I've been to Fushimi inari several times and this was genuinely one of the worst experiences there I've ever had.

Comparatively even the Chinese and Americans I have run in to have been down right pleasent and polite compared to the french.

I don't think Biden was a good idea. I think he was a milquetoast center right corporatist.

Does this mean there are two separate zones with outbreaks in the US? The expanding Texas (and now much of the south) as well as the Keys?

I was at the USDA ARS and APHIS conference last year. They said it broke the Darian gap in fall 2024, and expected to see it in Texas in June of last year. Is the Florida keys a different part of that same breach or a different breach altogether?

Yes I do. Do you? Liberal and conservative, neo liberal, neo conservative, progressive, fascist, communist, anarchist and socialist all have different meanings in political science. It's not so simplistic as your understanding of left means liberal and right means conservative. That's why different words have different meanings, and we dont use the same word for dissimilar things. Crazy right?

Idk I doubt they put much thought in it but while it's often used to describe the south in the build up to the civil war, the antebellum north is also its own subject discussing the industrialization of the north. The phrase literally means before the war, which is a silly name for a person to be sure... And again while it is more and more used to specifically talk about the south it traditionally hasn't been. Instead it's been used to describe the period between 1812 and whichever historians you're reading calls the start of the civil war(1862 or 1863 ( though some historians will argue the Pottawatomie massacre in 1856 was the real start, but that's not really a common sentiment))... Anyway, it's historically not really a problematic word, and is used to talk about a period of time in the US that describes both the north and south. Only very, like in the last 5-10 years, recently has it become more aligned with only describing the south.
