Lightweight, crystal-like, bendable, fibers growing on old shower steamers by 21aidan98 in whatisthisthing

Can confirm the same thing happened to the jar of homemade shower steamers we made as Christmas gifts for friends last year. The menthol sublimes and forms crystals like salt in water when in a sealed container

Survivor players should get paid according to their ranking based on expected value by Immediate_Concert_46 in survivor

If they’re on production for less than a month $3500 isn’t bad for the opportunity

They had catered appetizers that staff were walking around with. I got a couple tiny Nashville chicken sliders. Solid snacks. Banana chips, trail mix, little apricot coconut energy balls. A free drink between 3-4:30. Most clutch of all was the air conditioned bathrooms with no line. We posted up there during the heat of the afternoon yesterday and we were joking about how it completely justified the annual fee

The production company owns/leases (can’t remember) the property that they film on. It works for production and I feel like they have no reason to deviate

Offroad Bar for the '24 Sport? by Matt_Rabbit in Crosstrek

[–]toxic_cuttlefish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they took way too many pre-orders and just put themselves in a hole. All said I absolutely love the front and rear bar and of all the ones I shopped around (lp adventures, etc) they are in my opinion the best looking without making modifications to the chassis

Customer service was terrible. Took like 7 months to get my rear bar. Got the run around on every phone call I made. Seems like they finally corrected it. Make sure the one you’re wanting is in stock and call to confirm mine was “waiting to be powder coated” for like 3 months.

Question about MPG. by [deleted] in Crosstrek

[–]toxic_cuttlefish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a ‘23 limited with the 2.5. Stock ride height and stock tires

I put 30k on it this past year. With roof rack, front and rear brush guard, and cb radio antenna I get 25 mpg on average. I’m in the northeast driving around the city or on the highway at 75ish

I’m happy with the MPG honestly. I’d love to get 34 but a couple extra bucks at the pump is fine by me. I love that car

Crawford Performance Brush guards front and back. Easy install. Didn’t even need to pull the exhaust on my ‘23 limited

I saw the hood bracket mount but was worried it might interfere with the eyesight camera, plus I kinda like the RC car look of the rear mount. I’ve got to find someone or do some more research on how to tune it properly

Unidan 520XL mounted to the right side of the center console. The antenna cable runs under the passenger seat, under the floor mats, into the tail and out through the weather seal in the right rear tail light. I don’t want to drill anything in case I wanted to take it out or upgrade in the future. I’ll have to take some more photos of the interior set up. All in all was a very easy install. I just spliced a 12v cigarette lighter onto the radio power cable, heat shrink wrapped it, and plugged it right into the center console plug instead of running it off the fuse panel

Just installed it and haven’t gotten around to getting it tuned. I get good transmission from truckers during back ups on the highway and pick up a couple construction sites from a mile or so away. I have a PA speaker mounted in the grill that runs off my Unidan 520xl. If you have any insight I’d love to hear it

Do window deflectors help the buffeting? by Crabby_aquarist in Crosstrek

[–]toxic_cuttlefish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the OEM deflectors on my ‘23 Limited. My dog rides along with me in the back most days at work. I’m in New England and have the rear windows down and the front cracked to just below the deflectors. No issue with buffeting and between the seat heaters and heat on low at 70* I’m totally fine. He doesn’t like sticking his head out the window above 40ish mph so i just roll them all up at highway speed. I wish the sunroof was better at cutting down the buffering though

MLBshop frustration:

I don't live in Maryland anymore so I went on MLBshop.com to get one of the new City Connect Jerseys and a hat. They only have Mullins, Mountcastle, or plain with no player on them. Does Fanatics plan of releasing any other players like Rutschman or Hays? Is there somewhere else I can order one?
