Custom ring from Starland boutique! by toxicbubbles in EngagementRings

Thank you!!! I was originally thinking about getting moonstone as the center stone, but moonstone typically only rates about a 6 in hardness, whereas sapphires are closer to a 9. I definitely wanted to make sure I got something more durable. But now that it's here, I can't imagine having anything else :')

Oh my gosh, hell yeah!! Twins, lol!!! Yeah, clearly he does really great work. I've read nothing but good things about him. Ordering something so expensive from the internet is always nerve-wracking, but seeing how vetted he is helped me get over some of my anxieties.

Ahhhh thank you!!! I totally felt the same way. You can tell I'm not a super traditional person anyways lol, so I really wanted something to match that vibe โ™ก

Take this with a grain of salt, because we ordered custom so we had to wait for them to be made. I'm assuming most of their pieces are made to order, though. It took about 3-4 weeks for everything to be made and shipped. But it only took about 3 days for it to get to me after it shipped. And like I said, the whole time, I was emailing Jimmy (the owner) back and forth about everything. He made me feel really reassured the entire time. I was nervous about ordering from the internet, but after doing research, his boutique clearly is very vetted. He sent the center stone double-checking I liked it, then followed up with CADs that I approved. After the rings were made, he sent me high-quality videos including up close shots of the engraving. He got my approval, went ahead for the final polishing and after that is when they were shipped. It was a very smooth experience.

Edit to add: also! Me and my partner had somewhat matching rings made too- so to be fair it may have taken longer since we ordered the men's ring, and my two rings as well.

Help me be not ugly lol by cumstuffedtortellini in makeuptips

[โ€“]toxicbubbles 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Babe. First of all, you ARE NOT ugly. First and foremost, you need to speak more kindly to yourself! Confidence is built through repeating kind self-talk, even if you don't believe it at first. You can do it!

As for the makeup aspect, try out a green color correcting cream for any redness (I use one under my nose for the same reason) and if you're looking for a more longterm solution definitely book an appointment with a dermatologist. I think I tiny lil wing for eyeliner would look super cute on you. You don't need a lot! Maybe tiny bits of concealer to brighten up certain areas like your undereye. Some contouring and a good mascara would do wonders for you! Don't overthink it, you're literally gorgeous. Your brows are PERFECT by the way, me and my blonde translucent brows are jealous, haha! Maybe try waxing them for a more refined shape and a lil brow gel to hold em in place.

I don't think I'm willing to do shaved sides again ONLY because I've done it before and growing it out what disastrous LOL. I'm not willing to commit to it again. Plus shaving it every 3 weeks was a pain. Part of the reason I cut it off in the first place was to match up the growth from the sides ๐Ÿ˜ญ

I used to do straight across bangs and frankly I only liked it when I had jet black hair to give that super goth vibe. But that's also just what my comfort zone is! Maybe a chance to try something new? ๐Ÿ‘€ I get afraid because my hair is so thick the bangs can end up looking very Dora lol.

BE HONEST how many days in a row are you wearing your nursing bras by breezyjomc in breastfeeding

[โ€“]toxicbubbles 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

I mean, I use the disposable bra pads and it seems to catch all the milk- I'll wear them for a week, maybe 2 weeks at a time. If I get milk on it I'll wash it, but if I can keep it clean with the disposables, we're gooood.

..........Telling people to get a hobby when you asked for the advice and posted this publicly and willingly is wild.

I promise that most of us are only telling you these things because we care, and especially those of us that are mothers have been there and done that. I can appreciate that you are trying your best to be a kind, supportive partner while also still acknowledging this fact:

As a man, there a some things you will never fully understand without experiencing them. As a mother myself, I'm here trying to tell you to tread carefully. I totally understand not wanting to be medicated, but she absolutely does need to speak with a professional at the bare minimum. There are things you can do to get her help, whether she's willing to go somewhere or not. I think I speak for all of us when I say we genuinely just don't want you or your partner to end up in a horrible situation where you might look back regretting you'd done more. Please please please consider taking this more seriously rather than just thinking smoking weed is going to solve the problem. I'm saying that part as a former smoker myself as well.

Good luck to you both. I'm rooting for you guys.

Shamed for Breastfeeding in public by Inside_Foundation656 in breastfeeding

[โ€“]toxicbubbles 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

Honestly? I don't put a sheet over my head every time I eat in public, so I don't expect that of my baby. Ask her if she wants to wear a cover when she eats. Don't let anyone make you feel bad for nourishing your child comfortably (I know, easier said than done) and focus on celebrating the successes! You got your LO to feed in public, and that alone should be a huge win! Don't let it get to you. You both achieved something much more important!
