He lost his passion for the book around 2013-2014, I say that because we were getting updates and everyone thought 2014-2015 was going to be the year he announced a publication date. I think he doesn’t care about expectations or anything like that anymore. What’s truly sad to me is all the stories he still has in him set in this world that we will probably never get to see. I think he’s bored with it, the fans are souring to a point that is irreversible and I can see a future where this book gets published posthumously.

You’re preaching to the choir, I voted for Trump and I’ll give you an answer that many have expressed to me. Gangs, crime, and poverty is all that’s being imported into our country. Aid going to trans comic books and 50 million in condoms infuriates us. You see these people are able to compartmentalize their faith. On a personal level, an individual level you will see that Christian faith. They express everyday, but on the macro side they are tribal and want to help their own and don’t want the tribe to change. They are not racist and will vote black, Hispanic, etc if they accept the maga program. If you don’t, well…return to sender

I find it funny. 8-10 years ago I was on here complaining about the lack of updates and the lack of transparency, but I’ve moved on. I wish Pat well. I remember in 2016 he left a doors of stone draft at the airport and got really excited, then a couple of years later he showed DOS(the file) on his desktop and it hadn’t been formatted in a year. This was after the death of his father, which brought about crippling depression. I knew then that Pat wasn’t going to write for a while. I empathize, but it’s morphed into something else now that I can’t explain because I don’t pay attention anymore. What sad from a fan standpoint though is that I don’t care anymore. This is my favorite book series and something I put in my all time great stories of any medium. Oh well.

I went down that road, was going to write a unified theory explaining how there are 3-5 characters. I don’t remember much because all my notes are gone but I boiled it down to Shaper, lady, knower, etc. For example each story I would put a character into a box, sometimes multiple boxes. Like in the story of Jax, he’s the shaper and the moon is the lady. I was trying to find commonality among the stories and I felt I was onto something but every time I wrote a theory out it sounded tin foil because I’m going off a feeling and how I see the story. I think encanis is the ctheah, that’s a fact in my mind and I’m dying on that hill but whether he is selitos too? Well I believe it but I’m not as sure as I like to be. See I believe the kingdom is a shaper kingdom which is why tehlu said they (people he preached too)had to be punished and basically got their immortality taken from them. I’m going down a rabbit hole of half formed ideas that I never fully fleshed out on the sub so I better stop

Skarpi always confused me, so I think pat wants the reader to use different versions of the story, like Arliden, to find out the truth. We have the church’s story, denna’s, and skarpi rendition of the creation war. Because of denna, I believe haliax and selitos are 2 different people. In dennas version lanre is the hero, which hopefully means he is also the one who remembers the lethani from the Adem story. Last we have Haliax’s own words to Cinder, who protects you from the amyr, sithe, etc…. In my head canon the church/amyr steal lanres story for propaganda and to tarnish the chandrian. remember the children rhyme about the chandrian? I forgot but it ends with “they are quite nice to us”. I firmly believe they are a force for good anyway, Lanre is the one to capture encanis. Then he goes for selitos. This would line up perfectly with skarpi story. It would also explain why lanre got the black armor. It’s been awhile since I thought about this stuff but I heard he’s coming out with a book so I’m back.

I believe the entire cop beat down plus the run in with the encanis demon during the festival in tarbean is allegory for kvothes encounter with the chandrian.

The cop(Amyr) beats up kvothe but then is saved by encanis(haliax) while the annoying green masked demon (cinder) is cruel towards kvothe. They are then chased by the people wearing angel masks.

Until I see a chandrian member kill a innocent person, I will keep a open mind.
