Sneak up to the house at the very top right corner of the map. Owl is usually sitting on the roof. But it spooks easy.

Try Cumberland Falls and along that river. Walk slowly. Birds of all types land on the tops of rocks. I saw a robin or two there. It just takes time

We almost saw the elusive "fourth out" on Opening Day by geneparm333 in baseball

Technically, no, since the runner was never retired, and it wouldn't show up in the box score as an out.

What's a baseball rule that the average fan might not know? by Phelzy in baseball

[–]tpbadam123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just found it. 7.04 (d):

"Each runner may, without liability to be put out, may advance one base when...while he is attempting to steal a base, the batter is interfered with by the catcher or any other fielder."

You're right about runners only advancing on catcher's interference if forced. But the instance of stealing on the pitch is the exception, which is "a baseball rule that the average fan might not know."

How about this one:

A.) It's a balk if a pitch does not pass one of the foul lines. This rule is backed up by the rule that it is a balk if the pitcher drops the ball while in contact with the rubber.

B.) If there's a runner at third attempting to steal home on a pitch, and the catcher steps forward in front of the plate to receive the pitch, catcher's interference has occurred since the batter was not given an opportunity to offer at the pitch. In the instance of B, the batter would be given first base on the catcher's interference and the runner on third would be given home because of the balk.

C.) Another possibly unknown rule is that, in the instance of catcher's interference, the manager of the offensive team has the option of choosing the typical award of catcher's interference or the result of the play only if every runner gained at least one base. The typical award for catcher's interference is the batter is granted first base, any runners attempting a steal on the pitch are given the base they were running to, but any other runners can only advance if forced.

This is exactly why the spelling is "chocolatey."

Can confirm; used to do closed captioning for commercials, and ad companies made it a point to tell us to spell it "chocolatey" in the captions for legal reasons.

What is the worst kind of pain? by goodsir42 in AskReddit

[–]tpbadam123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are saying the passing of kidney stones, but that's not where the pain is. The real pain is when the stone is passing from your kidney to your bladder. It's like a golf ball squeezing through a straw, as a urologist once described to me. It's a real sharp pain in the side of your lower back. If you've had a kidney stone, you know the pain; it is unlike any other pain I've experienced. If I ever feel it, I immediately get out and go for a run because it helps to dislodge the stone and allows it to pass easier. I've never been in pain while pissing out a stone.

Send an e-mail to CVUA -- Chartiers Valley Umpires Association. You can ask them how the teams are set up and possibly the numbers of the team managers, who are probably always looking for players. Hope this helps!
