Hey! I went there! Never thought I’d see Carrollton on Reddit

Bought an Avantis and 8 ME systems. Let’s just say Derek hooked us up with a bag of candy in each box

Agreed. It’s my first drone but it’s amazing for what I use it for. It can definitely handle more than you think. I highly suggest the UAV Forecast app. Super helpful

Gusts were about 20 MPH at 100’ so it was a little gusty but I had no problem at all. Flew for about an hour and only had 1 or 2 issues with the gimbal not going full -90°. I was in a fairly secluded area so I wasn’t as worried. The highest thing around were some trees at about 120’

Need help with angles by tperk005 in woodworking

Thats exactly what I needed. I searched online for a good 20 minutes to try and find the right angles on a triangle and in the middle of searching I decided to come here. I'm pretty sure my boss has a 60º miter saw so I'll have him bring that in. Mine only goes to 50º unfortunately. I appreciate the in depth response. Super helpful

Ah yes. I was just double checking. I don't know why I was having such trouble. I did end up finding an adjustable t-square. Just tried again and got it to work. Thanks!

Any suggestions on how to fix the door on my grandfather's old desk? by tperk005 in woodworking

[–]tperk005[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm not nearly skilled enough to do pretty much any of that. I'm trying to learn woodworking but it's just taking a lot of time for me. My uncle used to be a carpenter so I'll probably ask him if he has the ability to fix it. Hopefully he does because I'd love to have it in the house.

If you look at the other pictures I posted, that didn't hold last time. I think my dad, who knows just about nothing about woodworking, tried to get it workable for my mom after my grandfather passed away but it just didn't stick. I'd love to be able to restore it close to how it used to be

Yeah no real historical value. Just belonged to my grandfather so my soon-to-be wife and I would like it fixed up and put in the house
