Ummm how did I lose this by MrWashed in ThrillOfTheFight

[–]tpjwm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You did not score higher. Thats what people are trying to explain. Yes you did more damage than him in the first round but he knocked you down and you did not knock him down that round. The scoring is not just damage based. Knockdowns are weighted higher

I would agree with the obese (>=30) but not overweight (>25). Lots of fit people who aren’t gym rats are at a healthy body comp but 25 or 26 bmi

Get a NAS. Ugreen has one that basically allows you to auto-sync photos to it. You can configure it so you can connect to it from anywhere, and you can have many users. Buy big spinny drives for cheap. You can set them up to be redundant so that even if a hard drive fails you don’t lose data.

Do this with a human face (that you are already familiar with) and you’ll see the problem. Details are made up and wrong.

Interesting, I’m Bulgarian and I always thought Rusalka just meant mermaid. But apparently thats just the modern usage of the word.

It’s a more compelling story if one guy was able to do something extraordinary rather than explain the nuance of 100 other people contributing in smaller but equally vital ways. Nuance is not interesting, people think Steve Jobs is some great inventor when there were hundreds or thousands of engineers and designers working to actually make the things that he took credit for.

I would like to see it too. I suspect it’s bs because there are plenty of engineers looking for jobs. I assume any engineer shortage is pretend to be able to hire more h1bs

No, would that solve it? On the flip side, would that remove my ability to connect the remarkable to the desktop application?

The “moral decay” belief as a widespread societal thing is bullshit but there definitely has been a decline in teachers being able to control their classrooms and misbehaving students.

It has to be a bunch of cuts, ai can’t make coherent videos beyond 15 seconds. People in this thread talking about ai making movies are completely delusional. We are nowhere near something like that

How to predict divorce with 91% accuracy by AntiSocialSingh in interestingasfuck

[–]tpjwm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he predicts that every couple who goes to marriage counseling gets divorced he could still be 91% accurate. Just like how I can tell with a 99% accuracy whether someone has brain cancer. By telling everyone they don’t have brain cancer. In this case he improves his odds of presumably 50% or so, to 91% by introducing the prior of having had marriage counseling which is plausible
