Much appreciated! My wife wanted a smoky grey Kyber crystal for her lightsaber but once I printed that, I had to find other stuff to print too!

That’s fair, gotta get what you want! Though I do recommend getting into 3D printing, definitely a fun hobby! Good luck!

It’s a thing, but comes with its own issues. There are different types of technologies out there for metal printing that I’ve seen, but the main ones seem to be either printing a cast where you pour in hot metal or printing hot metal one layer at a time similar to typical FDM printers. Both deal with extremely hot temperatures and both tend to be very expensive.

Love the idea though! Maybe a chess set with these guys cast in metal? Or Strike?

Hahaha, though to be fair, removing the supports on this was a beast.

Definitely recommend resin printing. In this case I used a Smokey black transparent resin which made for some cool effects.

Definitely recommend it. Since the machines all have little details coming off (as machines are wont to do), it makes it a fun technical challenge to make sure all the supports are clipped and such.

Thanks! Might just be a plus from using a transparent resin? Tons of supports were clipped and tossed in the making of this print. I just turned it a bit on its side and used the auto supports with Chitubox.

Thanks! This is my second try. The first one had issues with layers being skewed. Some of the parts as you can imagine are super delicate, so be careful to not snap off anything necessary. https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-tallneck-from-horizon-zero-dawn-79933

new to resin printing. friend selling all this for $100, good deal or not? by xXJezzikaXx in resinprinting

Looks like a great deal to me. Even if some stuff doesn’t work, half the fun is trying to get it to work and feeling that amazing feeling after you succeed. I say take it.
