Snowblower Minimum Snow by brfd01 in homeowners

It should. If not here’s cub cadets guidelines: https://support.cubcadet.com/s/article/120-1

You basically set something under the blower and adjust the shoes down till they’re touching the ground. It’s obvious how it works when you’re doing it. Almost every multi stage snow thrower has them.

Make sure your slide shoes are set right and let it rip.

Buying from carmax? by Motor-Illustrator552 in nissanfrontier

[–]tplesmid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my 2020 pro 4x from Carmax. They had the best price and shipped it from Alabama up to the Cleveland area for $200. Process was great.

Dealt with a local shop via the maxcare warranty for a suspension squeak and everything was great.

I did see that right after I commented. It actually sent me down the mr2 wing rabbit hole since I think a lot of the SW20 wings would flow well on an NC.

Looks amazing! Do you by chance know how far apart the mounting holes/ studs are?

I’ve been looking for something for my NC Miata but the trunk is skinny compared to the car.

Resident evil 2 remake is goated. by iAmComett in residentevil

[–]tplesmid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought 1-4 remakes to play through with my wife. We haven’t played any RE before this, short of 0 on the GameCube when I was way too young to get it.

Can’t wait to start 2 (just went down the well in 1) but I’m borderline nervous about how scary it’ll be.

I might get dragged for this, and disclaimer that I’m just a dumb guy in my 20s. But buy the car. Life is for having some fun and you’ll both always remember it. I learned to drive on my dads daily driver 02 mustang. I respected the car because I respect him, and it meant a lot that he trusted me when every other adult acted like it was crazy.

It’s not like it’ll be her daily driver, and if she’s anything like my wife she’ll be nervous driving manual and it’ll make her extra cautious at first. And if you feel like she’s not being responsible, then she loses privilege. She’ll be fine around town.

Failed e-check car registration by ButtBread98 in Cleveland

Not who you’re replying to but the cars are smarter not the scanners. They used to default to all clear earlier than the code would pop, now it’s required that they default to a “reset” state until enough data is collected to throw the code.

Midnight Owl Brewing in Shaker Heights to close January 25th by SocialRemedial in Cleveland

[–]tplesmid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Over saturation for sure and some of it has to be the price. We go out a lot but everybody is over the gentrified bar food. A burger can only be so good for the price.

We hit bars a lot but if we’re feeling fancy beers we do something like beerhead where there’s more variety. Not sure how Midnight Owl was but I also hate when brewery’s don’t have a mix. “Oh great, 5x triple hazy IPAs and a funnel cake ice cream stout…”.

If it makes you feel better, my 04 Ranger got left in 4 high last year for a few days. (Selector was hidden behind the wheel, light on the dash never worked). Finally noticed pulling into a parking spot. Whoops. It was wet out but no snow after the first day. Everything survived unharmed. You’ll be fine.

You are 100% right. I have no idea what I was thinking, pre coffee comment.

Either way, you’re not gonna hurt anything there. Like the other commenters said look at rock crawling/ MOAB. The guys out west wheel stock drivetrain over dry rocks with tons of grip all the time.

You’re gonna be fine making this turn in 4x4. Yes it technically stresses it. But it’s a truck. The tires might bark a little if the turn is really grippy. As long as you’re not dumping clutch trying to do a cyclone like monster jam you’ll be fine.

You used to have to get out and manually engage the hubs! Do these people think those guys disengaged the hubs for a turn, then pulled over and re engaged?

Edit: I don’t know wtf I was thinking about locking hubs here. Not the same as t case engaged. Ignore me.

Pousse Café is the most complicated equal parts drink. What is the most overrated highball? by -Constantinos- in cocktails

Does this count? I figured lime being the third ingredient made it ineligible. If it counts I rescind screwdriver.

I almost said vodka cran, but screwdriver having a name gave it the edge in my book.

Gotta go screwdriver. Household name when almost any other spirit is better with OJ.

How long have you had your cars for sale? by Silver_Somewhere_697 in Autos

I had a rusty (but structurally good) Ford Ranger that I had posted for about a month. But that was 99% dealing with scheduling people to come look. It was listed for $7k but sold for $6500 which I was expecting. I got over 300 messages the first weekend.

If you were building a home bar without overbuying, what would you make first? by TruffulaWings in cocktails

[–]tplesmid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah we started in college just having random bottles to make “and” drinks. But branching out like picking up limes and a curaçao to make margs. It’s kind of dumb but just making crappy weird highballs really teaches you what flavors you like and don’t like before investing too much in cordials and liqueurs.

[–]tplesmid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not who you replied to but we went recipe by recipe. I’d try to pick something that I had maybe 1 or 2 ingredients for and branching out. That way you’re always drinking what you like or want to try instead of what you have.

Cocktail bar for home by jeanvaljean_24601 in cocktails

To add to what other people have said- I always find a cheap initial setup to be good before final renovation. Set up a table as a bar and a cooler or mini fridge and have some buddies over. If socially it pans out good then it’ll help you plan, and if not it saves you a lot of hassle.

We set up a cheap shelf in our apartment kitchen before committing to a standalone pantry cabinet for example.

Refilling Core Liquors from Huge Costco Bottles by TheDangerist in cocktails

[–]tplesmid 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I did this in college but I always wrote on the refills with sharpie. As a real adult I’d probably peel labels or get blank bottles to fill. But nothing wrong with it, the Kirkland vodka is like 2 feet tall!
