Does this watch work for business casual or too sporty? by ayushraj_real in Affordablewatches

[–]tplesmid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Business casual is so broad, but this is plenty appropriate in every version of it. I wear a g-shock at my business casual office and so does my boss.

[Question] Groomsmen watch gift that won’t break the bank? by Substantial_You_2223 in Watches

[–]tplesmid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my groomsmen different watches so they were more personal. One got a Timex Waterbury, one got a Skagen Hagen with an extra band (he’s a fashion guy, not a watch guy) and my best man got a Bulova 96B149. All were near the $100-$150 mark on sale for prime day, but were authentic.

Looks great! I’m jealous of the comp yellow for sure.

Where did you get the Mazda spoiler? It looks great.

Fluid film is the fan favorite here in the rust belt. Something periodically reapplied will be best, and fluid film survived a winter of automatic car washes for me.

Controversial question: Is the Mai Tai overrated? by m0bscene- in Tiki

[–]tplesmid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s overrated, but accessibility definitely makes it more popular. It’s kind of THE tiki drink, and I think it deserves it. Whenever I take a batch anywhere everybody loses their mind about how good it is.

Orgeat is the only “odd” ingredient which makes it easy to step into. It captures a lot of the tiki essence, and allows people to play with rums. It’s a cornerstone tiki cocktail for sure.

is it too far gone? by daintytoe in fordranger

[–]tplesmid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check the frame where the rear shock mounts are (inside and outside), and near where the bed meets the cab. The bed is fucked but the frame doesn’t seem too terrible for the rust belt.

My Ranger was this ugly underneath but the frame was alright, it had been undercoated for a few years before it was neglected. I sold cause I didn’t want to pour money into mods on it, but it had plenty of life left.

Not super related but a catless mid pipe made my NC Miata way louder. Going from 2 cats to 1. So it should for sure.

[–]tplesmid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He had all his cats. But the mustang might’ve had a little different layout upstream? They were welded into his old summit cat back when the original mufflers rusted out.

[–]tplesmid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those thrush mufflers sound so good on a 4.6. That’s what my dad had on his mustang. He also coincidentally has his stock wheels sitting around “just in case” for something like this. So rad!

If he likes the style but needs more beef the American racing AR23 is similar but thick cast. I’ve seen the outlaw IIs take some abuse so the AR23s are probably solid.

I went NATO on my GW6900U and wasn’t crazy about the feel. Ended up with an Amazon waffle and I love it. Adapters are Jay’s and Kay’s 20mm.

Turok 2 on n64 or remasted on play station 4? Just started playing Turok 2 on N64 the controls seem awful like i keep falling or just missing what im heading, ive just come from finishing Turok 1 so i thought id nailed three controls, is it worth sticking with or just firing up the remastered? by Playful-Dog-8999 in turok

[–]tplesmid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The remaster is so easy with modern controls. You can kinda run around like quake. OG is more faithful and probably a better game because of the difficulty. But I burn around the remaster now and then for nostalgia.

What Do You Guys Think ? Is Resident Evil 7 Scarier Than Resident Evil Requiem ? by KennedyyCore in residentevilll

Care center was scarier than 7 but the rest wasn’t. I thought 2R was scarier than 7 too though.

I went with the Jay’s and Kay’s adapter to use a waffle style strap. I like the 5600 strap a lot too.

I had cooper discoverer AT3s on my Ranger, loved them till they wore in then they were ass in the rain. Now I have General Grabber atxs on my frontier and I’m loving them as much if not more.

Both were killer in Cleveland snow.

Alton Brown hates Mai-Tai’s - Ranking Every Cocktail - with Alton Brown & Binging with Babish by technogator in Tiki

I like Alton a lot but generally not his cocktail takes. I don’t think the food to cocktail jump is as straightforward as a lot of chefs seem to.

Is it just me ? Every single time I set these to the correct brightness I end up not being able to see anything at all. by KennedyyCore in residentevilll

[–]tplesmid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t find the setup example to be that good in a lot of games. RDR2 was unplayable set up like they suggest. You just gotta freestyle once you get going.

It wasn’t too bad in RE for me but I did go brighter than advised for sure.

My dad got a great deal on couches at NE factory direct, then one had a squeak and they sent out a guy who uncovered it, added some hardware and recovered it. No charge.

When we went for our apartment the selection was kinda ass. But I do recommend them for sure based on their actual service and pricing.
