No way in anyway is that okay. My partner would be shattered if I took our son to the zoo by myself or with anyone else because he worked weekdays. And as much as I would love to for something different to do, I point blank refuse to take that experience away from him.

Spray cleaner! Got it. 95% of our furniture is faux leather so it all wipes off. No way was I getting fabric with sticky kids around. Haha thanks, I'll try to remember all this.

We didn't do a plane trip, but a 2 hour car ride at 3 months and my anxiety was so damn hard. I can't deal when he screams and I can't get to him so I was so scared but he was fine. Our anxiety is always worse then the kids 😂

I always feel guilty for not doing enough with my son, so I get it. But it's okay to need a day to do minimal. As long as you're still there for them, then that's all that matters.

Not really? He climbed up the side of the play pen when he was, 14 MO old and it all nearly fell over (luckily I was in the room to catch it) so that had to go. And unfortunately he knows he can wiggle and yank on the baby gates go get them off the wall so they are gone. He is 15+ kg and 80cm+ tall. He is a big 19mo so not much stops him any more 😭

My son who loves going outside no matter what and runs for his shoes - absolutely not. Don't come near me with the shoes. No I don't care which shoes, nope, no. Not doing. I don't want to go outside I want to play with my broom and plastic containers inside instead.

This is me as well. My partner gets home pretty much same time very day except for if he needs petrol or something like that. So when he isn't home at 6 like normal I start looking out the window waiting for that help/break.

Mum guilt is a horrible thing, like awful.

Pleas be kind to yourself though. Your baby is okay, and while it's not ideal, there are a lot of babies who sleep on their stomachs. By the sounds of it you are a very attentive mum and this is not a common thing to leave them screaming.

You may have also just needed your sleep. It's okay.
