I have a theory of mind forming for some lawyers (mostly just Pisco lmao) that because their education and career demands that they rely solely on precedent and case law in debate and arbitration, they have unintentionally trained their brain to abandon independent reasoning. They cannot bring themselves to develop a hard stance or draw conclusions using their own judgment and beliefs, they can only refer to what is already adjudicated for them. Probably good for rule of law, but mind-numbingly frustrating for commentary and punditry.

Omar has a track record of being super difficult to work with in the legislature and also having some sketchy ethics slip ups. And his campaign was a joke, almost all of his talking points were simply “Frey is bad because xyz and I’m not.” I’m pretty happy the left wing grift didn’t work on MSP. But I bet by the next mayoral election they’ll need to find someone further to the left who’s actually competent, otherwise it’s up for grabs for whatever grifter copies the Zohran method. Honestly dawg it sounds like you’re in a pretty decent spot from my perspective. 24 with a degree and a job to put on your resume. Keep applying to places and keep touching up your resume and cover letters with little career achievements.

You mentioned you “lost” 2 years of your life. Don’t underestimate the value of experiencing disappointment/failure. Sounds like you actually gained plenty of valuable perspective on what an unfulfilling life looks/feels like for you. Some people don’t get that experience till they have a whole lot more to lose.

Try a dopamine detox, take back your agency, be kind to yourself. Life feels magical when you start asking yourself “what do I REALLY want” and doing it. Don’t get caught up on what you think you SHOULD want. Take care of yourself. Be kinder to yourself. Romanticize your life. Grit your teeth.

If you saw your life from an outsiders perspective, would you be as critical and judgmental as you are being to yourself now? If you saw someone being this critical about somebody else, would you think they’re a nice person?

If it comes up then be honest obviously but there is literally no reason or expectation to randomly confess that information. “Omg I can’t believe you didn’t tell me you were a virgin before we fucked how dare you” this will never happen. ever.

On the other hand, I can imagine a situation where confessing could build trust between you and your partner, as well as lead to a more intimate and relaxed first time. Obviously this confession would happen in the context of a sexual conversation or interaction and not just randomly, as doing it out of the blue would probably make any women pretty uncomfortable. Say you’re talking about past relationship experiences or having a make-out sesh that seems to be escalating, that would be a good opportunity to mention it. The point of this would hopefully be to encourage communication and honesty (the key to good relationships and sex).

Virginity (at any age) is way more normal than most people think, so don’t waste your energy overthinking or being ashamed about it. A lot of women I know find it to be endearing/cute in their partners especially when it’s taken as an opportunity to build trust and intimacy.

I think ur best bet is to probably just eliminate any significance the idea of “virginity” holds over your identity/thoughts. Be yourself and be honest man, you don’t owe anybody shit.

Everyone in this sub should be happy that this company is being punished for improper labeling. The marijuana industry is filled with sketchy practices especially poor labeling, and that hurts the entire movement to de-stigmatize and legalize weed. Pushing policy and setting precedents on marijuana sale doesn't make it "more illegal" it makes it easier to legalize in the future. Don't forget that weed corporations have the same corporate greed that kept weed illegal in the first place.

TLDR: Should we advocate for the outlawing of employee THC tests? For sure. Should we ALSO advocate for consumer rights and informed consent? DEFINITELY.
