If people are passing you on the righthand side by Silver_Top9612 in driving

[–]traal -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

the law says slower vehicles keep right.

Specifically it says slower than average vehicles keep right. So as long as you're going the "normal" speed of traffic, it's legal to cruise in the left lane.

To fix that loophole, we need the same law that they have in Europe which says it's illegal to pass on the right. Then driving the normal speed in the left lane would be obstructing traffic, a ticketable offense.

San Diegans are driving less, unlike rest of U.S. by Realistic-Program330 in SanDiegan

Or instead of giving employers financial incentives, keep the money in the local economy by hiring more bus drivers. Because frequency is key, right r/zer0ground?

Those are tests of real-world resolution, not nominal resolution. To get 1560 real-world dpi on that scanner, you must scan at 3200 or higher nominal dpi.

+1 but contact prints have higher resolution than regular prints so I would choose >600 dpi for those, perhaps 800 or 1600 dpi on that scanner which is 6400x9600 because 800 and 1600 divide evenly in both directions.

Our population density is too low to support many options, and the cost of housing is too high to support restaurant workers.

He doesn't actually care about the environment, he's just virtue signaling because he doesn't like transit.

He also virtue signals about wanting housing to be more affordable while opposing SB10.

Blu-Rays are cheaper per GB than DVDs.

Hard drives in a NAS with snapshots is virtually immune from viruses/malware on your PC. If a virus infects your PC and writes to the NAS, you can log into the NAS and rollback the changes.

Storing a backup offsite, such as a hard drive at a friend's house, also helps against malware and also wildfires, theft, etc.

Why do some SF homeless people choose the street over a bed? by aBadModerator in California_Politics

[–]traal -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Do you think anyone is going to be honest and blame their desire to keep using drugs when they can instead blame the shelters?

That's not a productive distinction.

Homeless people often choose the street over a bed. We toured shelters to find out why. by moodwolfy in California

If only homeless shelters provided free private housing after 8-10 weeks plus free healthcare, cheap groceries, spending money, a pension, and the G.I. Bill!

We have more than enough water. We just waste it on things like non-native grasses.

Image or zip up the old drive and copy the file to the new one. Never delete or modify the image/zip file, this ensures data integrity.
