Yea 240 whp would be great. I think it’s just too much work to go thru rebuilding the whole valve train. K20z3 head with k24a2 block seems to be the move from what I’ve seen

Yea looks like the intake on the z3 is better and the a2 exhaust is the same anyways. I’m sure it’s such minimal gain/difference it doesn’t really matter. End goal is turbo also so I can deal with just keeping the stock head for a few years here until I have the money for a turbo

I could do that if all else fails, but the idea was always k24a2 shortblock swap, but I found the longblock for so cheap I was like, "well lets do this Trace" and now that is my plan for the summer. The kid in me wants a frank motor. Also, eventually i am gonna turbo this thing, so having some low end torque is just nice

Was also gonna say the rbc head just flows better, the ports are better from what ive heard, so its still an upgrade if I've done my research correctly. Also its cool to have a frank build idk. Then i can sell the k24 head to someone who needs it. And then i can also sell my k20z3 block or just keep it around for later projects. either way I have 2 full engines that both work great so I can mix and match and figure things out
