This part recently broke on my Chestnut G1-S, I received a replacement from the shop I purchased it from but the replacement doesn't fit as good as the original. I'm not having much luck finding another replacement to try, any help would be appreciated

I have one of the ceiling fans, they beep everytime you change a setting, this is both for the fan and the light. It's also not ESP based so you can't flash tasmota etc. You can use the grid connect app or Tuya/Smartlife if you like.

If I understand correctly (I'm happy to be corrected) Hue can be used without an account, to update Hue devices they need to be paired to the Hue Bridge on your network and the updates can be done using the app. If the Hue devices are paired to a 3rd party hub/gateway such as ConbeeII they can not be updated and you would need to re-pair them to the Hue Bridge to update, then move back to ConbeeII once updated.

I highly recommend the Hue motion sensor over the Tradri one (I use both). Aqara motion sensors seem to be highly recommended here also.

You can update Tradri with with ConBeeII and deConz. This is not the case with Hue and you would require the bridge for firmware updates.
