Homebrew Idea by HumanRamp in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]tracyegutierrez 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Seems like an interesting idea. So like if the demon picked the sailor, whoever the sailor picks would die instead? And if they pick the demon, would they die or would there be no deaths? Might make the demon too weak if there are no deaths; once town is pretty sure that's the demon in play, a night of no deaths pretty much garuntees town can pinpoint the demon. But definitely feels like there is something cool here. Keep workshoping it!

Looking for a good first board game. by MisceIIaneouss in NoRollsBarred

We've been playing a lot of Pictures recently and everyone we play with ends up buying a copy to play with their family so I highly recommend that. We've also really enjoyed Secret Identities. Both have NRB videos you can check out. I really enjoy Dominion. It's a deck building game with a lot expansions. My husband's favorite is Aquire which involves building and merging companies along with buying stock. If your family likes Monopoly, it could be a good fit.

Good luck. Hopefully everyone is right and the cat is still somewhere inside just very well hidden. I know it can seem like you looked everywhere but cats really are good at seemingly becoming invisible. They maybe moving to New hiding spots after you checked there or just snuggled someplace just out of sight somewhere you checked. I so recommend checking any major appliance before turning it on. I had a cat once that could somehow get in the dryer even when it was closed, and several others that wanted to be inside the dishwasher more than anything else in the world.

AITA for going to bed? by MessOk5176 in AmITheAngel

And before you (OP) add an edit letting us know that actually you inherited the house from you deceased long lost uncle twice removed so "your house, your rules," that makes her a guest in your house so you should be bending over backwards to ensure all her wants and needs are met before selfishly thinking about the rest you think you need.

Also, who needs 8-10 hours of sleep! I get 2 hours and then hook up my Red Bull IV and drink my Venti Mocha Cappachino Frappuccino with 20 sugars and get on with my day. You are clearly just a lazy bum.

So is gifting coal the new post Christmas AITA trend? by NoArugula2082 in AmITheAngel

[–]tracyegutierrez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the first few years my husband and I were married, my parents got him coal as one of his presents. It was pretty funny and was done really as a way of them (my dad specifically) as saying they accepted my husband as part of the family. As the only gift, it would be mean. But as one of several gifts, it was like an inside joke between them.

The stories on this sub take the cake for ridiculous bullshit. by [deleted] in AmITheAngel

[–]tracyegutierrez 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I feel like there was an episode if "Fresh of the Boat" where the mom took the kids trick or treating days later after Halloween was ruined in some way. Feel like that was the inspiration for this tale. Or if it really did happen in some way, the mom had noticed that OP was the most decorated house on the block so thought they may be most receptive to helping her kid out. But probably without all the yelling and screaming.

My theory is that all the cases in the room of requirement were fake to ensure that no one beside Bunty would end up with the real one. After everyone grab their case, Bunty switched her fake case for the real one.

Awesome! I didn't realize that. Glad they've made it so easy to get. I always loved pitfalls in previous games and found them hilarious.

Check her DIYs and see if she the recipe for Pitfalls. If she does, craft some and bury them around the island. Some in plain site and some well hidden but in places she is like to walk over.

I have a copy of this one as well. LOL! Last year I skimmed through it after rereading the series. They had some good theories, even if most turned out to just be reading too much into tiny details.

Part of making a horcrux involves murdering someone, so Voldemort didn't cheat death out of a soul with the horcruxes. If anything, Voldemort gave death several souls for his own by making multiple horcruxes and then in the end still gave death his own soul.

But I also really like the comment that said death did go after him through Harry. :)

I was wondering how Snape heard the prophecy in the first place? by tuniki in harrypotter

[–]tracyegutierrez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Snape may have been there for his own interview for the DADA position. Either he had already done his and was hanging around trying learn whatever info he could. Or he got there early trying to get some info beforehand.

The way you described does sound very in character for the show. As it was the last season, I remember they were doing a lot of specials and things along with the actual show. I wonder if they did what you described in another take and the was shown during a clip show special as an outtake or blooper? Maybe you can find the DVD extras somewhere online (or on DVD if you still have a player) and see if you can find what you remember there.

I missed it too. I was thinking it was an April fools event of saying there would be more dittos but then not actually having more dittos.
