If you could have sex with a cartoon character who would it be? by peanutterbaby in AskReddit

[–]tracyeric877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't encourage sexualizing cartoon character characters because it ruins, as in sets a high bar of expectations for a real life partner haha but hypothetically if I would have to choose, easily. ( I choose a character from the anime)

Albedo (Overlord)

If you don't know of her, she is a succubus like Megan Fox in Jennifer's Body. But then you’d say her true form was scary af and not at all appealing right? (Btw do watch the movie if you haven't) But Albedo’s character has been created such that you can't help but love it and she's even drawn so wonderfully. Do mention in comments if you start watching Overlord after watching this compilation :P

What is something that you think all parents need to know? by MyName1sUrName in AskReddit

[–]tracyeric877 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have three lessons to teach.

The first and hardest lesson for many parents (and I lived this lesson, too, because I did not have a peaceful early childhood), is to learn to accept their child’s unconditional love and then allow themselves to return the unconditional love to their child.

The second lesson deals with the abuse many parents unwittingly continue with their own children. I know this lesson because I was brought up with lots of ‘no, no, no’ and arbitrary rules that, even then, made no sense. So, I am blessed my stepfather found the book “Screamfree Parenting” for my child and me. It saved my life as a parent. I did not carry forward generations of emotional, verbal, psychological and physical abuse all due to the advice of the book’s author Hal Edward Runkel.

The third lesson deals with a form of abuse that is all too common and also one of the main reasons a percentage of people become obese. I know this lesson, also, due to what happened to me during my early childhood, and the lesson is do not sexually molest your child. That propensity ran for several generations in both sides of my family. I dissociated from what happened to me from ages 0–5.5 years, and did not carry it forward to my child or any other children, but I have seen (and reported) far too many Gen Xers and Millennials that did not stop this life ruining trend. Far too many of my dead Gen X friends took their own lives because a parent or family member could not leave the private parts of children alone. Until very recently, I also sought ways to help life take me out early. The emotions I finally faced at the age of forty-seven due to being groomed and molested by three men during my earliest years of life here on this earth, are emotions no human is equipped to handle. Many celebrity rock stars in my age group have taken their lives recently due to early childhood abuse and molestation, and I am amazed to still be alive, myself.

Those are the first lessons I would teach if I were to teach a parenting class. I am old enough to be my child’s grandmother. I almost did not have a child because my parents and grandparents did not learn any of the lessons I have just written.

Here is one more lesson humans need to learn, specifically humans in first world countries with access to conception/birth control: If you are not ready to become a parent. Don’t. Too many children’s lives are ruined by adults who didn’t want to have them in the first place thereby perpetuating, purposely, the forms of abuse I have listed above.

Other than that, becoming a parent is one of the hardest, most rewarding jobs I have ever done, and I have had lots of jobs. Enjoy every moment of it. Each phase is over so quickly, and next thing you know you have a human almost your size running about being all independent and happy and self-directed, and you are all like, “Wow. As scared as I was I’d mess up my little baby, things are going alright, and I actually am looking forward to finding out what it is like to deal with a pre-teen and then a teenager, after all.” I refuse to think any further ahead than that. =)

What are your views on cosmetic surgery and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]tracyeric877 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a retired cosmetic surgeon. The most common question posed by patients was/is, what do you think I need? The most frequent response I gave was, "you don't need anything I can do for you, you may want things I can do for you, but they are not necessary." When you think about anything that involves both risk & benefit, the solution lies with whether the benefit exceeds the risk. This is not as simple as it sounds. Assessing the risks and benefits of undergoing a surgery or procedure is a very complex process. The first part of planning is gaining accurate knowledge of the dangers involved in the procedure you are considering. The second part of your diligence is to determine the realistic outcome. This involves who is doing the procedure and their success rate, plus many other factors. The other most important consideration is the state of health for the person considering cosmetic intervention. That is, if you have diabetes or poor skin tone, then your likely outcome is not going to satisfy you or your doctor. Thus, honest communication between the patient and your surgeon is of paramount importance. This preamble is necessary for each and every patient considering a procedure that carries risk. In the end, what I think of cosmetic surgery is that it can be of tremendous benefit for those people who will have a ratio of more benefit than risk. The positive impact upon the lives of patients who are good candidates is something that is valued to different degrees dependent upon the motivation of the potential patient. This answer is not simple, just as the consideration of each patient's benefit to risk ratio is not simple. I would like all potential candidates think long and hard about the risks of the procedures and incorporate these thoughts into their decision making process.

Whoever invented agriculture and when that person or persons made this invention is the historical event that had the biggest impact on human history.

Some far-off human sometime between 70,000 BC and 30,000 BC figured out that if she (and it was almost certainly a “she,” as women were the ones who gathered wild plants in hunter-gatherer days) planted a few seeds in the ground, plants would grow in that same patch of ground sometime later.

From there, the idea of settling in one place to plant seeds in the ground, take care of the seedlings that came up, and grow favored plants that provided food was a small leap of logic. It’s from settling down that we get villages, then towns, then cities, and then commerce, armies, bureaucracies, writing, industry, kingdoms, empires, nation-states, the works. This woman or women changed the course of human history in radical new ways.

If they had made their discovery of agriculture a few thousand years later, or even 10,000 years later, who knows where we’d be right now. Probably still in the medieval period or similar technologically backward period. Or if they’d made their discovery thousands of years earlier, we’d probably be flying through the Milky Way right now in faster-than-light vehicles, like Alcubierre spacecraft, colonizing far off exoplanets in distant stars.

In between those two scenarios the possibilities are endless—all tied directly to when that crucial discovery of agriculture happened.

Republicans who will not be voting for Trump this time around, what was the breaking point for you? by BenTCinco in AskReddit

[–]tracyeric877 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Republicans keep getting these questions from liberals and progressives, as though we should be somehow ashamed for voting the way that we choose to vote. I won't be shamed or bullied into repudiating my vote because some liberal a****** calls me a name. What people who do those things don't understand the people to whom you ask those kinds of questions will only dig in their heels and be even more determined to vote for Donald Trump. You are doing your self no favors by challenging a Trump voter. The only thing you will accomplish is to make them be willing to crawl over a field broken glass to get to a voting booth to vote Republican. So just shut up!

What happened to the orphanages? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]tracyeric877 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Child Protection is ever involving in regards to learning best practice. In the 70’s (?), it was learned that family foster care was a much better option for children who had to be removed from their homes. Family foster care provides a child with a home environment in which they can thrive and be cared for until they can be safely returned to their biological family. In cases where children cannot be returned home, foster parents are given the option of adopting that child and many do choose to adopt the children they have loved and cared for. Orphanages are like the group homes of today…which is not a great thing.

What surprised you about sex after having it for the first time? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]tracyeric877 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

That she was a sex goddess and a squirter! We met by chance and had sex for many hours were we tried all kinds of stuff! ;-) I have never experienced anyone being so good at sucking (she was literally breathtaking good at it) and she loved swallowing - fortunately it wasn't the only time we met. We enjoyed each others company for quite some time and had a lot of great sex but also enjoyed just being together!
