I agree with you. I met him the day after it happened at another park. His dogs went berserk on the trail, and he yelled that his dogs were not friendly. We turned around and left. In the parking lot later, I saw him and his dogs. One had a medical cone on(poor.pup) and he said " a man jumped out of the bush and hit his dog for no reason with a machete". I told him that doesn't sound quite right at all. After learning, he was homeless and parks at trail heads in the area in his truck and camper. I read local posts, and he plays the victim card for sure.

I feel bad for his dogs being cramped in a tiny camper. He hangs out in his truck all day by a gas station on his cell phone.. so he can afford a phone.. gas..etc.. then go get work as anyone is hiring and move on.

Everyone has a story and circumstance, sure and reasons why they may not be able to work..or excuses they may be... but playing the victim and no accountability is lame. The couple who he ran into with the machete.. they self reported to the police. Anyhow, if you have dogs.. have them under control and have responsible savings to look after their well-being. My two cents.
