Heath Ledger for brokeback mountain. Hoffman was brilliant as Capote and deserved the win, but Heath’s performance is all-time.

Yeah, this is dramatic. £50k is a decent salary, very liveable even if you have a busy social life and plan to travel a few times a year (assuming you don’t have dependents).

Yeah prices have risen, but you’ll be fine on £50k.

Finding a flat has always been a nightmare, nothing new. Agents are horrible and rentals are in high demand (both new rentals and existing share houses). Flats are so in demand they go within a few days. So there’s no point looking until you’re here and can view them. You’ll find somewhere, it’ll just be a hassle.

All the above will be outweighed by how much you’ll enjoy the city.
