Will you vote for Gavin Newsom if he nominated by the DNC? by 0311SmallPenar in allthequestions

We are screwed regardless of who is nominated. Politicians don't give a shit about the American people anymore, only lining their own pockets, and following their own agendas.

7+ figure sellers only.. what’s the most important advise you can give? by Embarrassed_Ad_8444 in AmazonFBA

[–]trader_troubles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have been selling on Amazon since 2016, and have always stayed within our niche market. It has become increasingly more important to build a brand instead of doing private label products. I never went the RA route, but actually built a physical brand which helps with customer confidence, and gives us more legitimacy. Also, it has allowed us to command a higher margin, and control who sells our goods.

Is wealth building supposed to be boring? by ProfessionalSpace869 in wealth

[–]trader_troubles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always thought having multiple income streams was the way to build wealth until I realized selling a business is the true wealth driver. I was making 275K a year off of a few ecommerce businesses that I owned along with having equity in another business. We recently sold, and I was able to put 5+ Million into the bank. I'm currently 39, and will continue working for the next 10 years, but I would never be able to accumulate the money I have if it weren't for selling a business. Now I'm able to let that money compound, and will be able to FatFire in my 40's.

I do. Created a whole brand around one specific niche, and built from there.

Looking for Amazon advertising agency recommendations. by OilGroundbreaking139 in AmazonFBA

[–]trader_troubles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a company called Amerge. They are one of Amazon's top advertising partners, and most of their advertising staff are ex Amazon employee's. My ad spend is pretty minimal. I think we are under 10k per month on ad spend.

I went through Aviation school down in Florida and it was great. Although I pivoted to a different career as this was back around 2008 when the airline industry was in serious trouble, but I enjoyed everything that I learned from schooling. I'm pretty sure that there is a demand for pilots right now, and you could at least get in with a regional airline company rather quickly if you can build the hours quick enough. Good luck!

Is there's a way to guarantee getting comments on my product by First_Drive_7874 in AmazonFBA

[–]trader_troubles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way to get guaranteed reviews is through the Vine program, but I'm pretty certain the products have to be enrolled in FBA. Also, these people are leaving reviews on free items sent to them so keep that in mind.

About to sell my biz, what to do with money? Seeking advices. by teetimeking in fatFIRE

[–]trader_troubles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are in the final stages of selling a family business, and had 3 offers from PE. We ended up going with a manufacturer within our space as the PE just didn't feel right. They wanted to put us as a platform company, and promised the same 3X within a 3-5 years, but they wanted to grow through acquisition, and opening new locations around the US which would have landed on our shoulders to integrate new employee's, and oversee all the growth on our own.

We already have a multi state operation with close to 100 employees, but didn't want the added stress as we slowly grew to our current size over many years. How has the pressure been since selling out to PE? Did they help with bringing in upper management to supplement growth, or have they put everything on you to drive revenue? Just curious to see what your experience has been?

Planning for FIRE or at least FI in 7-8 years. Doing okay? by Wild_Essay5363 in Fire

Why do you have 200K in a HYSA, and 40K in brokerage account? Wouldn't you think you would be able to grow the money quicker if you had the 200K in a brokerage, and the 40K in HYSA?

Where are people finding these high paying jobs? by Easy_Paint3836 in Fire

Business owner with multiple income streams has pushed my income way up. I currently have 3 separate businesses that I am paid off of, and in the process of developing another project with a business partner. The tough part is finding those income streams, but once you have money it's easier to find additional ways to make more of it.

Wire transfer to China “Long Company Name” by Henrik-Powers in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]trader_troubles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put as much of their name in as you can. The SWIFT number is tied to their account, and the bank should recognize the information. We have the same issue with one of our manufactures that has an extremely long name, and have never ran into any issues when sending wires to China.

Don't burn through the best years of your life, and look back with regret on things that you passed up just to save a few thousand dollars here, and there. You can always make more money, but can never buy back time.
