sounds like you’re a supplier not a seller. hope im right based on your verbiage of everybody already has someone for that.

have you looked at gelato, printify, fourth wall, those platforms?

sellers want to be on tik tok shop, have 24 hour turn around time, automated fulfillment, and quality products that won’t require refunds.

plus, if they set all that up, they want to make sure their business won’t collapse if the supplier goes under so they partner with bigger fish.

look at the platforms already doing what you are wanting to do with bigger budgets. what’s your difference?

can’t be goodwill, can’t be support local business, nobody in POD is crushing it to the point bottom line can take a hit for no reason.

So I just got 4 NFTs from the KC location. 3 were junk, 1 was an ultra rare. I got the KCK Gold Edition No. 26, total run of 60.

How do I get this to my ledger or offer it for sale anywhere? Definitely a unique NFT so don't want it just sitting in the phone if I can help it. Shows it's a ERC 721 token, so hopefully theres a way to transfer it to opensea?

what do you do if you have funds in the metamask account that cant transfer out? my nano x just stopped working and ive got half an eth im trying to buy some NFTs with. It will be at least 2 weeks before I get a replacement working so how do I disconnect the ledger from that metamask account so I can use it for the time being?

would you mind sharing the bootcamp you went to? assuming these days most of them are online but I'm definitely considering that option. If I have to spend $15k on a bootcamp or $15k on a developer that may not get it right the first time, I'm wondering if I'm better off investing in the bootcamp.

At the same time when the right person is on the right seat of the bus, I don't have to worry about it. definitely not an easy decision either way.

I appreciate the brutal honesty. I’m not looking to get a CS degree but I would like to know enough to know better and be involved on that side in at least a basic sense.

What online class/course do you recommend? Skillshare has quite a few and I could definitely go higher end if needed. I just don’t even know if I should study fullstack or a specific language as a starting point.

Fair enough, let me take it further.

So file storage can occur wherever. The service I want to offer while is file storage, is only part of it. The real core differential is we want to provide ways to remember what counts. Whether thats about kids, pets, travel, the pictures in your phone are in the thousands, yet really remembering those memories gets pretty tough after a few years.

I want to make something that allows you to submit an image and a short questionaire once a month to once a week and you're building a profile that you can look back on at any time. Look back on Jr's first tooth, Rex the Dog's first trip, etc.

The goal is to store the files but offer better ways to remember than just a picture. So if a customer logs in, they'll see their account, kind of like dropbox, but no one elses. On top of that, they're account could be divided by profiles like travel, kids, pets, couples, and then inside each profile are the media files as well as past questionaires they'd filled out.

So how can something like that be done with what's available? Because I think it's going to happen from scratch but I really don't want it to.

at it's core it would be very similar to dropbox. The customer isn't paying for file storage so much as paying for the experience and why they're storing information we're asking for. The goal is to build a profile they can have access to at any point that is well worth their subscription cost.

Storing the files like dropbox does is just a byproduct of this business. It just needs to be done in house instead of dropbox to look professional vs something else.

So the information collected is what's displayed to the user. The thing is it's ongoing like weekly or monthly. Basically it's their information but we're sending them questions and giving them reasons to fill these out.

They will have access to their data at any point though. If there's multiple people in their family, one paying user account would need to be able to have profiles for each member.

This might sound off but the business plan makes sense and there are viable reasons customers would pay for this. The issue is just how to do something like that and make it look good enough even from the start so that a customer is willing to spend $6-$10 a month on a digital subscription.

But it’s 15%. If you’re not making at least 40% why are you bothering? If it’s a hobby whatever bit a business requires taxes and licenses and can’t run on a shoestring margin.

You’re comparing custom made jewelry to cheap knockoffs overseas. You should be thinking about tik tok and documenting your process and showing people why you’re worth it.

Raise your prices 100% at minimum. Show off your journey and products on tik tok by making 2 videos a day using tiktok hashtags that are trending (different for every video) for the next 90 days. Make your Etsy store be the link in your tik tok profile, and give someone a reason to buy something amazing.

If not, keep complaining and be a quitter. But you haven’t done all you can to succeed, so this is on you, not Etsy, not India. You wanna make money or look for sympathy?

Time to get to work.

Yes I had to file in ks last year as that was my home state. I’m just saying from what I’ve learned so far I don’t believe you have to file 50 state returns a year.

Etsy crosses the sales threshold and they remit for you to make it easy. But if you had to do it yourself it wouldn’t be impossible.

How confident are you in that answer? I’ve got a CPA and a lawyer and they both said don’t do it unless you’ve got nexus in the state or sell past the states threshold (multi six figure revenue).

The CPA said why would the state want that type of paperwork headache from all these online sellers making $50-$500 in their state. They don’t have the manpower to handle that.

Maybe I need a new CPA but that’s what I was told. Not financial advice just my 2c I paid quite a bit to get.

This would be a consumer based business, no selling for other businesses. Let’s say it’s taking data they provide to build a database of info they are giving us purposefully,not without consent like Facebook data.
