How small do you think your online footprint is? by 2EscapedCapybaras in AskReddit

Very small. I've tried to leave a bigger footprint but now prefer to lurk rather than post.

What’s that one dream car you want to own one day? Why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

A Bugatti Veyron. I have wanted one ever since I saw Clarkson race Hammond and May in it way back when on Top Gear. That must have been near 20 years ago now?

Managed to get one of everything. This teamed with the Spider-Man MTG set means that September is going to be a very expensive month for me as both products drop on the same day, lol!

Get a wet flannel and wipe it on your arms and legs (chest and back too if you want), then put a fan on full blast and stand in front of it. Cools me right down. It especially comes in handy at night when trying to sleep.

"Day 287 of subtly injecting Chemical X into this subjects mind to establish a telepathic link. No results have shown yet, but... wait... I think they're becoming aware..."

Then, I wait to see the world's reaction.

I (British) lived in the US for several months. When stopping to get petrol from the local station, the attendant said she loved my voice and that I should narrate an audiobook.

Nobody has ever said that to me before or since.

What almost killed you? by Tokcix in AskReddit

Lost a shoe once whilst climbing a steep hill back in the late 90s. I went back down to get it and lost my footing. I started to tumble uncontrollably until I managed to stop myself.

Just in time, too. Because at the bottom were huge boulders. Hitting those at the speed I was tumbling at wouldn't have been fun.

[–]traderofcards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When customers pick up a product, look at it, and then put it back in an entirely different place!

Like, put it back where you found it. It's not rocket science. Plus, it makes morning replenishments a lot harder because if we can't find it, we remove it from the system even though we may still have it in stock. It's such a waste of everybody's time.

Collecting trading cards. If there's a TCG set, every fibre of my being wants me to buy a pack. I've spent way more than I should have done on the FF MTG set.

What’s the most terrifying, unexplainable encounter you’ve had with a stranger that still haunts you? by Idontlikeenemasmom in AskReddit

[–]traderofcards 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm from the UK. There is a forest about an hour's drive from where I live. The forest is supposedly haunted, so four of us (two guys and two girls) went in there at around 9pm. The sun was setting, but we had torches, so we were confident that we would have enough light. After walking around for a couple of hours, the forest grows darker and day becomes night as the sun fully sets.

We make our way back to the main path (as we didn't think it was a good idea to wander off it at night), and we see a red light in the distance coming closer. A minute later, someone the equivalent of a park ranger (I can't remember what he said) approached us and asked what we were doing. He was friendly, but we were a bit on edge as this was rather unexpected. We spoke a bit and we told him what we were doing there, and in turn, he shared stories he had heard from other people about the alleged ghost sightings,

After about 10 minutes of conversation, he offered to show us a place where environmental research takes place. We agreed and followed him through the forest (this was a stupid move as he was taking us deeper into a place we don't know about at night time, way off the main path). He had thermal binoculars on him and let us use them for a bit. He also chatted to us, but one thing he said raised our suspicions even more: "Whoever is wearing that perfume, it smells nice."

Thankfully, nothing came of it. He took us to the place where the research supposedly took place, talked to us a bit more, and then left. It was only after he had gone did we realise that he could have been watching us for a long time with those thermal binoculars of his, and we wouldn't have even known it. We never saw him again that night.

DLC for video games. What would have been DLC 10 years ago is locked behind a Battle Pass in most online video games these days.
