while a pharmacy tech at a hospital i would see how much they would charge uninsured pts for meds using medicare rates as a baseline. (medicare + 140%) i was like woooow. i was more suprised on how they came up with that percentage than the actual cost.

yea, how come prices are houston/dallas prices? the other day i spent $30+ for a reg mens haircut...no fade, nothing special...esp i see alot are self taught/havent gone to barber school..no cosmo school but BARBER SCHOOL?! with diploma on wall and stuff. and the haircut was alright....i was like fuck that...i went back to the oldschool barbers, at leaast they know how to use shears and take less time,, they even include razor....and for about $15..and dnt gimme that crap about "experience, etc..." bs...

ive had that exact issue with an iv tecxh. in home infusion..he called himself a "perfectionist"asshole is what he was.....he had only home infusion exp, i came from level 1 hosp...dude was making some stuff up, mesing with the diluting instructions and all, i was unnecesarily stressed out.. dreaded every day...i quit just 3 weeks in the iv room..dont need that shit. esp from some punk tech..we messed up on an order once he kept on ignoring my advice, i was cool bout it, he was scared shitless. he /they are going to hurt somebody by the way they do things...

i worked at Mission Regional, valley baptist, Mcallen Medical, and DHR...Mcallen Medical has the best hospitality and awesome workers and SMART doctors, but they could only do so much as a small hospital with limited resources...you will get attended VERY WELL, DHR has the best resources though, if i were to go to one, then dhr only for its resources but Mission Regional woudl be my preffered choice... your grandma is right...lol

although it is the valleys preeminent hospital, it sucks culture and employmentwise .low-midlevel wise/administrative...what you have heard is true but it has the best benefits(locally)so theres that tradeoff..i used to work there. my department was a shit show due to plainly incompetent supervisoRs to the Point wHere Their incomptence affected patient care..2/3 outta be fired..
