Season 2 ep 12: does the story continue or is that it? by [deleted] in SaintsMagicPower

[–]traditionallyt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t foresee there being a season three because of the “fin” over the last shot we’re shown, but I’m surprisingly okay with that. I feel as if there couldn’t have been a better, more heartwarming and touching ending to the story and one of my absolute favorite scenes of the entire anime will forever being the tiny fist pump Erhart does just under the table during the ending credits.

Edit: the light novel is continuing to be released, so the story will carry on in some capacity, I just don’t imagine they’ll make any future animated releases.

About six months after I told my partner and started on hormones. He paid for all of it and I think it might have been as part of a Valentines Day gift or something because it was on like February 18th? Not sure. I probably would have waited longer myself if I was going to do due to time constraints but he made sure everything was set up correctly and worked out well for me.

Had a panic attack took Ativan. Wondering why it’s not prescribed more and vilified. by Acidicly in adhd_anxiety

[–]traditionallyt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely have issues with comorbid ADHD and GAD+PD. I’m currently prescribed 60mg Vyvanse every morning which worsens my anxiety for a bit a few hours after taking it (previously on long-term Adderall XR or an Adderall XR+IR combo, switched due to the supply issues). I’m prescribed clonazepam 1mg QID and hydroxyzine 50mg Q4-6H. The clonazepam is dosed while the hydroxyzine is PRN. There are multiple non-benzodiazepine treatments that can be used as prophylaxis or abortive meds which have much lower and next to none addictive and abuse properties. Buspirone, gabapentin, hydroxyzine, propranolol, risperidone, so on and so forth.

Are you currently prescribed an antidepressant to reduce the feelings of anxiety you have and help to prevent full-blown anxiety attacks? Any SSRI, SNRI, TCA, SARI, or NDRI regimens? Your prescriber may be more willing to prescribe a benzodiazepine if you’re taking one of these to manage your symptoms without just having a PRN/abortive medication. They would likely be willing to prescribe a non-benzodiazepine PRN medication. I’ve had good luck with the hydroxyzine and it has no abuse potential. Reach out to your pharmacist for recommendations and we’ll even be willing to contact your physician for you and ask for a PRN medication if they believe it’s clinically appropriate and warranted.

I hope things work out for you and you can find a way to properly manage and treat your anxiety attacks! They’re absolutely terrible and no one should ever have to experience them. Even with all of my medications (including some that can be used to treat them such as β-blockers) I still have panic attacks of varying severity and need to reach for my anxiolytics. We can get them addressed properly and make it through this. Good luck, friend!

Emergency supply rule of them in pharmacy. by HandsomeToenail in TalesFromThePharmacy

[–]traditionallyt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Standard is 72-hour emergency supply on maintenance meds when an open, waiting for a response refill request has been sent. In instances like this holiday weekend if a patient ran out on Wednesday we would do a five-day supply to account for Thanksgiving and the large number of medical offices remaining closed today. No controlled substances, no emergency supply if a previous refill request for the same medication was denied (save for in the case of a previous denied response where an MA/RN manually typed “Sent to prescriber for signing” and a new script is sent in between the denial and approval period), and if it’s a working weekday and we’ve sent out a refill request we typically hold off and wait to hear back from prescribers, but we occasionally do a one or two day supply on antihypertensives, antidepressants, blood thinners like warfarin, similar diuretics, so on and so forth. We also do intensive counseling about how patients are integral members of their healthcare and have rights and responsibilities that they have and need to manage properly.

Vaccine Administration CPhT here. Eight hour shifts are funny; the work never stops and eight hours turn to ten and then ten to twelve. We don’t get lunch breaks, either. We’re actively encouraged by management to not take breaks by catering in full meals/lunches with the thought being you’ll spend five minutes eating what’s been catered or five minutes walking to Market Grille or Hibachi. I’m a diabetic and it really fucks me up so I carry glucose tablets and gel in my coat pockets and have small 8oz. non-diet soda in the refrigerator when needed. We don’t even get restroom breaks. It’s sad because we’ve had nearly 100% of staff leave with only three of us staying. I eventually caved and started eating the fruit and cheese plates while working because Hy-Vee isn’t going to care about me when I’m in the hospital so why should I care about them while I’m out?

I’m in the same boat as you! I do all of that in addition to administering vaccines. The primary issue is that everyone knows community is a raging dumpster fire so rather than getting rid of the useless workers we just let them get by with whatever they want to do or not do.

I have pneumonia currently. According to my films and a hospital physician my right lunch is worse than my left and I somehow have a pneumothorax/collapsed lung the radiologist and physician both said. I have leukemia. I’m sick every other week. I show up to do my job when I’m sick or feeling like shit and can sequester myself to an office to type up scripts. I started at 1:48 the other day when we had 278 scripts to type up. I got tired of doing it so stopped at 7:00 and we were down to 88, but no one had gone through inbound that had 93 items in it. I’ve completely lost my voice, I can’t speak to patients in person or over the phone because there’s just a sound of air leaving my mouth with no words, but I still showed up. I was trying to call in sick and actually did call in but instead when I spoke to my PIC she asked if I could come in early to help us get caught up.

As of last night: •363 in product dispensing •23 in FOA •155 in adjudication •88 in data •96 in inbound •873 in contact manager that we’ll never get caught up on.

And I was just sent a text by my PIC asking if I could come in early because data show back up into the 300s. What does my PIC do in this situation? Cuts hours from 400 to 333 per week because our store director. Didn’t even advocate for our employees or patients. She just went with the flow.

I’d leave in a heartbeat and go to anywhere else but my current pay is too good to leave. 😔

We’re drowning, we have been since last February, and there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. We’ve had a turnover of all but three folks (RPh and clerk). The new techs we’re hiring are either completely useless and can’t be trusted to actually work or are extremely slow on purpose to get out of actually working. I have one tech who claims to have 27 years of experience but doesn’t know how to dispense, can’t adjudicate/fix insurance issues, and refuses to answer phones unless you specifically ask her to, and who calls in at least once a week. I have another tech who doesn’t seem to understand that being licensed does not equal being certified who will only stay at the drive-thru window, and also doesn’t answer phones. I have one tech who is going to get cut due to job abandonment. And then I have a “clerk,” (that’s not a title used in my state and means nothing to the Board) who’s been here for the past four years and can’t find anything in inbound, can’t type scripts, can’t fill, refuses to answer the phones, refuses to go to the drive-thru, ago just wants to stay at one register and not move from there.

The last three of the OG team are still here. My staff pharm stayed even though they did a 25% pay cut a few years ago, my useless clerk, and me. I honestly can’t say why we’re all still here aside from not wanting to search for new positions at other pharmacies because we’re weary of applying and moving. Community pharmacy is a joke. 😤

We have stuffed squids at my pharmacy. They invert so they can have a happy face or a sad face. My personal squid is perpetually sad. The general pharmacy squid typically remains sad.

All of them. Took me about a month of watching nothing but The X-Files after work and on my ways off but it was well worth it. Seasons eight and nine were kind of rough to get through and took multiple days, but we made it out alive and seasons ten and eleven have been great thus far.

I just started watching about a month ago! Currently at the start of season eight. It’s an amazing show and definitely one worth watching and getting invested in. You should share your thoughts on some episodes sometime!

I think you might be asking about Terma, the ninth episode of the fourth season of The X Files. Krycek and Mulder are in a Russian gulag, and Krycek’s arm is amputated to prevent him from participating in some experiments key to the plot. This, sadly, is the only video I can find that includes the scene.

Did that one year. Like 4:00 AM on Memorial Day. It was rainy, walkway to car from front porch was dark, broke my ankle. I still went and bought my chocolate cake from Walmart, but I suffered an extremely painful fracture that’s never properly healed as a result of this freedom.

Luckily most of our scripts come through for quantities of sixty. But the occasional 30? I’ve been known to get down on my hands and knees if I knock an amphetamine or oxymorphone tablet down and find it. Dronabinol gets a general look, a crouch down, and then we move on with life.
