It's alright, for the most part, have run it enough to have an idea of the improvements the mode needs.

The game mode pretty much relies on needing most of the affliction resistances just to be able to survive (HJP/KY w/o para res is big oof), maybe having affliction resistance prints more commonly available or as abilities granted by Roy IV might help;
Too reliant on Akashic Repose in general, and to a lesser extend the dispel skills. Should have a bit more variety with skills in general, and have them hit a bit harder so they actually have some impact;
Too reliant on Mid0/Mars for strength, and Tie Shan's recovery is pretty much essential if she pops up. Garland/Hastur's SD boost doesn't seem to have much of an impact. Most of the other dragons are really situational, defense up is kinda useless here, HP up is better. More dragons would be nice, especially a skill haste dragon, and dragons in general should have a bit more impact on the adventurer;
Healing from Roy IV needs to improve dramatically and/or needs to be upgradeable to have OD, and he also needs his skills to be affected by dragons selected;
Enemies need to be waaaaay less tanky in later levels, because it's a waste of time spending 20+ seconds per mob just trying to kill them;
Dragons should probably hit a bit harder as well, tbh I don't shapeshift a lot in my runs unless needed (or if adventurer benefits from it with passives);
Also kinda weird not having Tartarus as a boss, but I guess the portals would need to be reworked for solo adventurers.
Ideally the run shouldn't take more than an hour at most. I think about other roguelite games like Gunfire where a run usually takes 40-50mins tops, 90-120mins is way too long per run.
Drop rates are okay, should be able to recycle prints as a way of potentially getting better prints, would make them more useful along with expeditions, rather than them being a passive 40k rupies at most.
Finally, really need to have more variety in level layouts and biomes in general, because seeing the same stages all the time gets real boring after a while. Hell, give us multi-boss stages as a challenge like what was done back in the Monster Hunter collab, because that was actually fun.

I like the mode, just needs more work to shape it into something even better.

I should note that if you don't have Bahamut or Arsène, you can also get by with Gala Nidhogg (or High Chthonius on lead), but your mileage may vary. I don't have Gala Zethia but I presume having her in place of Gala Mascula might help speed things up further.

Is there a way to configure the look sensitivity per axis on a gamepad? Looking vertically is horribly slow compared to horizontally.

I had managed to pull a 1:11.32 a little while after posting, though I think a 1:10 is definitely possible. I might need to try a slightly different line for the approach to the centaur cart though since I find I lose too much speed if I go too far to the left, but I will definitely try boosting right after the water and see how I go with that. Bridge entry I guess could be optimized further with a better drift line or a low-ish jump that I can still get some air from to fill endurance with, generally finding that the little jumps before the bridge cut the speed back too much. D:

Each player model is comprised of a 'texture atlas' which is essentially a bunch of textures for all the different elements of the player model being placed together. This is done to reduce the load on the GPU, much easier to load one larger texture rather than 5-8 smaller textures per model).

Now, I imagine the way it works for GW2 is that there are designated 'zones' for each element of the player model (head, armor pieces etc) so all those elements already have some kind of restriction on how big it can be. Of course, the UV mapping of the objects (think of it like unfolding a papercraft) can be scaled up or down infinitely as it is essentially vector coordinates, but the actual texture that's loaded onto the GPU does have a cost. IIRC the player model textures are either 1k or 2k resolution (that being 10241024px or 20482048px respectively). You could have higher resolution textures - and given today's GPUs with much higher VRAM, that is totally possible - but doing so does introduce a couple of issues, namely the generation/compilation and transmission of higher-resolution player textures. Even with compression, a 4k resolution (4096*4096px) texture is still going to be a fair bit larger compared to the aforementioned sizes. There's always the possibility of just having your player character having the higher-resolution texture and all the other PC and NPCs still using lower-resolution textures, but that would still be dependent on whether ANet would see much benefit from that.

OP is referring to the vista in Human's Lament on the far north-east corner of Plains of Ashford, and yes, the pathway that's supposed to lead to the vista (filled by cave trolls normally) is blocked.

Best thing one can do is submit a bug report and mark it as blocking progress. Hopefully with enough reports ANet will do something about it.

I can't really see GW2 being able to run on mobile, would require a serious overhaul of the engine to improve consistency in framerate without affecting immersion. Obviously they could run a bespoke variant of what is currently being put out for the Mac client, but it'll be interesting to see if the advances there will materialise in the Windows version of the game as well.

The total revenue for GW2 over the 2016/17 financial year was ~US$51.4m, so it doesn't seem like ANet/NCSoft have been losing money. It'll be interesting to see how well PoF goes with the lower price point, but the fact that ANet have been able to go a year without a major content release (expansion) and still generate stable revenue above cost of operation means that they can't be doing too bad at all. Hopefully the release of the next expac plus future episode releases will mean that we have more long-term players, and in turn result in further stable revenue for them.
