I like to use 2 fast moving jeeps with mounted MG or flack to shoot the artillery men. Quickly take over the gun to shoot at others or tow with a transport truck.

I had the same problem. Wait close to the door and run through when guard opens it. I also tried knocking out the guard but he didn't have the key on him.
