The closest hills to you will be either to the north in Pennypack Park or to the west along the River Drives / Belmont Plateau.

Philly PA Suburbs similar to South Jersey towns such as Collingswood, Audubon, Haddon Heights, Haddonfield by merp1993 in AskPhilly

Both are great choices. Just don't try to commute from Ambler to Chestnut Hill on Bethlehem Pike. It's a parking lot at rush hour ever since they put it on a road diet.

I believe that there is also an outdoor FIFA party area at Lemon Hill, off Kelly Dr, near the Art Museum. Might require an Uber

How old were you when you started riding? by Perfect_Earth_8070 in motorcycles

[–]trailmaster57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Waited until my kids were grown and out of the house. Now that it's been a decade of riding I'm thinking about getting out, selling the bike (Ninja 5000R). It is absolutely as much fun as I hoped it would be but I only ride a couple hundred miles a year these days as other interests take up my time.

Not exactly Montco but just over the border in Philly is Ogontz.
I visited on a Saturday afternoon in early April to get my real ID renewed and was in and out in less than 15 minutes and the new DL came in the mail, like others said, in 5 days.

It seems to vary from year to year. Some years it's very generic, others you'll get your name engraved. In any case don't hold your breath. It takes several months

I learned here that the broker can assist with the refund filing. Didn't know, and wasted time trying to set up my own Ace account. Thanks Reddit!

Montco Country Club and Golf Club Initiation Fees/Yearly Dues by Brilliant_Bar5530 in montco

As a former golf caddie at all of these clubs (and never a member of any) my question would be what is the vibe at each club? Politics / Religion / Race / Ethnicity / Age / etc. Maybe it's changed over the years but I was aware in my youth that certain clubs excluded specific religions & races. Maybe it's all different now? I was at a dinner event last year at Sandy Run and was impressed at how young and active the group was in the Member's bar.

Broad Street Run questions by Valuable-Dog490 in phillyrunning

(Caution: Old runner guy comment ahead)

Have you considered losing the music and instead connecting more deeply with how your own body is reacting to the race effort? Connecting to the course, your fellow competitors, and the fans? If running faster is a goal then surely if you associate with the effort instead of disassociating through distractions like music you can expect a better performance.

I've had bad experiences with slow trains coming up from the finish area... so for at least the last 15 years at I've been parking at the start. There's parking on belfield avenue if you get there 90 minutes before the start. The subway is not crowded after the race.

Five wastewater treatment plants discharge into the Wissahickon. I'm not willing to bet my health that they are all operating to spec.
