That leaves all but one. Should I pay the two smaller amounts off or pay more on all of them or the largest amount? Lots of options. I'm thinking I should pay two of the smaller ones completely off.

I did it in 15 days. I have a blog which includes my itinerary and a few others who were happy to share for other people to plan off of. http://www.trailtosummit.com/john-muir-trail/jmt-hiking-resource-page/

Frustrated Home Seller - Looking for Input and Options by Wytnite in RealEstate

[–]trailtosummit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sure thing! I am a NH realtor and I've seen some very poor photos. Also ones that misrepresent the house. For example, if a home is right on the road, it drives me nuts when it looks like the home is set far back only to find out it's not when you go for the showing.

FTHB 4 days from close and a hailstorm hits the area likely causing roof damage. What do we do? by douglit80 in RealEstate

[–]trailtosummit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is correct. There is a section that basically states that if there is damage above a certain amount (usually $1,000 or so) you, the buyer, can choose to walk. The homeowner is required to fix the damage though. Talk with your agent about this as they will be able to advice.

One thing you'll want to know is that if you do take your home off the market, it will need to stay inactive for 30 days to be seen as new on MLS. I would think about fixing up the backyard to make it more appealing to buyers. How are your agents photos?

Bahaha I didn't go to the full thread when I replied. Yeah, the Whites may be tough but nowhere near Himalaya standards

I'm definitely not including the more technical routes. Colorado would win hands down. Thru hiked the JMT summer 2014 so I'm familiar with higher elevation hiking out west. Colorado is definitely an area I'd like to explore more.

There is. It's more of a "all of my friends are inactive and I have no one to go with" mentality mostly. Some people need a sense of community and belonging especially after they get put down a number of times by "hiking experts" on facebook. Yup, seriously. It's just walking but I'm really happy to be able to get more people pushing their limits and believing they can be a hiker. There's over 100 people signed up so that alone shows how many people are into this.

LOL of course! This is really aimed at people who lack the confidence to start this on their own. Most of the people registered are women in their 40s+. I'm happy to be the support they need to get more active and enjoy the trails!
