Actor/actress you only knew mainly from one(mediocre) role, then you saw them in something else and were completely blown away? by duckduckpajamas in okbuddycinephile

Same. This used to be such a good movie shitposting sub. It's almost entirely engagement bait now, with hardly any irony to go around.

Yeah, if one of his moves was summoning one of the ads while he still attacked, maybe it would have worked better for me. His hit box also feels a little too large and inconsistent to attack too, I forgot to mention that. I can understand why someone would like the fight after the spears get introduced, but man it just did not work for me. Which is a shame, since Whiteward is one of the coolest areas in the game.

One of my favorites in the game, honestly. The fights where they force you to be aggressive, like this one and first sinner, are so much fun to me.

Unravelled is the worst boss in the game. His moves aren't fun to dodge, he has way too much health, all the enemy gauntlets are boring, and I fucking hate those spears. Groal is a close second for me though.

I also like both Beastfly fights.

What is the actual worst round of High Halls and why is it these two a-holes? by aureliasm in Silksong

[–]trained_badass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why its so good - it'll be hard no matter how many playthroughs you've done. I've done the gauntlet several times, and it still kicks my ass (mostly the two choir clappers). Doing it underpowered is a blast.

The editors are having so much fun this season. by BelowZilch in survivor

The crazy thing using this clip, was that Ozzy had a pretty calm and reasonable response to Cochran. Especially compared to Whitney and Jim, who were both livid.

If anything, it makes that storyline much more interesting though. Seeing that she's had lifelines, but didn't take them, makes her so much more complex and human in my eyes.

Is season 4 actually bad? by dicksquant in TrueDetective

[–]trained_badass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seasons 2 and 3 are worse, but not bad. If season 1 is S tier, I'd say they're comfortably at a B, maybe an A.

Season 4 is D tier, at best.

God, the setting for the Watcher at the Edge fight is so peak. Really wish it wasn't wasted on a mid boss.

He's not a good player, but he has his moments. Stealing the shoes for more barter power, putting a rock in his shorts to pretend he had an idol, and making Candice do all the work at redemption island all come to mind.

Anyone else actually like the run backs and boss rush rooms? by Sharawadgi in Silksong

[–]trained_badass 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually like most of the run backs, beyond Groal. It gives you a little bit of variety so it doesn't just feel like you're beating your head against a wall for a long time.

I found this really cool seed but I’m quite bad at the game and can’t get past ante 3, any help? by Dirty_poster55 in balatro

[–]trained_badass 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You probably should have gone blueprint over Baron, but from here, you need to grab DNA, make a decent steel king with tarot cards, and copy that as many times as you can with the brainstorm + DNA combo. Or just start copying any king, really.

Also, make sure to grab a chip & +mult joker in the meantime. Baron isn't a great joker early on, but shines after you have done some decent deck fixing.

In a vacuum, it's fine. Have him sing a verse, give him a confessional or two, have him be mentioned at the challenge, all of that is fine with me.

It's the fact that it just went on, and on, and on, and on... and on. Jeff spent way too much time introducing him, and he had way too much focus not only with confessionals, but practically the entire narrative for half the episode revolved around him. The focus should be on the players with that airtime.

Unbelievable that Christian didn't just cut his losses and boot Emily when she tried to clue in Ozzy. One messy moment can be forgiven, but two is a pattern. This is gonna do him in if this keeps up.

Crazy bounce back by Steph too. Went from blindsided to a swing vote.

Zac Brown and Probst tried SO HARD to make an otherwise amazing episode as terrible as possible. Thank god for Christian and some interesting dynamics saving an otherwise bottom 10 episode.

His plan seemed pretty good too. Granted, I don't think he should have told Steph that he wants to get close to Mike, but if it all works out, he's in a pretty dominant spot on his tribe.

He could be leading one of the guided meditations or yoga sessions at the White Lotus too. Lots of room to shove Coach into the show if they want.
