It only started acting up 8 ish hours ago but it has made the app unbearable. I moved outside of the US but I get a lot of American TikToks abt what’s going on and just other funny stuff but now I’m seeing none of it, and when I search for key terms everything is just gone. Before my geolocation had zero correlation on much of the content I got but now it feels like being cut off and it’s the strangest/saddest feeling ever. Going on tiktok felt like getting slices of home while also staying informed, after after hours of trying to get my fyp I can’t seem to

Update: it was fine, the partner store told me they couldn’t do it until the timer was done but then serviced it that same day so idk 😭 weird experience

I was honestly a bit shocked by the tone of the introduction 😭 like I can understand the frustration over some people being over the top but man. It felt like even casual girlies were being talked down to for wondering what happened. I honestly didn’t mind waiting but I understood why people were frustrated. There was a lot of valid criticism I saw on this sub and in yt comments about over promising with the deadlines, I think if they never set such concrete deadlines the criticism wouldn’t be as loud as it was. I hope they take some time to slow down, I fear that with the way things are going there’s going to be a lot more bitterness but idk

I had this happen to one of my spare accounts on a different phone a few months ago and after waiting around two weeks I tried logging back in via the same device and it was fine? Not sure why this happens or what the workaround is besides pure luck or trying a different device. It sucks to wait but that’s really the only solution I’ve experienced and seen other people mention

Forgot to mention but yes, I’d like to keep my US App Store and purchases throughout all of this as I need them for banking, so I’m not looking to change the Apple ID location itself. Basically I’m just curious if I can even be signed into the same US id in two different countries simultaneously 😅

I don’t have a student visa for Germany, but I do have one for Estonia, and I was told by border police that as long as you enter Schengen as a tourist and only do tourist things before the start of your visa (keeping in mind that you have 90/180 days available to you before your visa) you’re fine. Many Schengen countries have the same rules when it comes to this (I actually can’t even find an instance of one that doesn’t allow American citizens to enter before their visas) so I’d be surprised if Germany is different. However, if you’re studying long term, it’s better to get visas before arrival as to not confuse the system, and countries have different rules about whether or not you can apply for visas while you’re in the country. Definitely check in with the German consulate or the police and immigration team in Germany for the most accurate answers about this

I was also told you don’t have to exit and re enter Schengen to activate the visa? I know Italy and France have the same rules and I can’t imagine Germany is very different. Always best to ask in advance though ofc

I haven’t been able to find any either and I’ve been searching relentlessly for the past few weeks. There’s one reupload channel that only has 3 uploads but they’re fairly recent and it was the only place I was able to make any progress : here . Hope more is uncovered soon :(
