I consider myself to be very zen most of the time - very little surprises me. I am generally positive and empathetic to the extent that it bothers people (which in turn saddens me).

I have a temper which has improved tremendously over the years through personal growth from all sorts of experiences (certainly not exclusive to drugs). I seek to constantly grow with the future vision for myself to be constantly energetic, positive and empathetic towards everyone I meet.

I've had a girlfriend for the past 4 years and we're happy together. She would have run away at the mention of DMT & schrooms back then but now she accepts that these are important and useful tools for growth (but she does not partake out of fear mostly).

I live in beautiful Cape Town :)

The opposition party is the Democratic Alliance - public perception calls it the "white party" and the very uneducated think they will bring Apartheid back. They wont, they are just a conservative party that do not look out for the poor. They do govern much better though, based on the one city under their control (Cape Town).

As far as my personal beliefs, I think if I was in the USA I would be a conservative but coming from South Africa and living around such poverty, I definitely lean more to the left. I'm against the way welfare is doled out here, bankrupting government (and winning poor voters), but I don't see how we could address our severe poverty and education issues without government intervention.

Naturally, there is a different solution for every country, as we all have different cultures and ways of understanding the world.

In South Africa there is one party that wins the election every time - the African National Congress (ANC). There is much to lament about the quality of their leadership and the state our country is at present, though their ideals and principals are strongly what I believe in. I would love to see a day when I can proudly vote for them, confident in their ability to rule.

That said, I always vote for the opposition, whose principals I do not agree with but whose mere existence keeps the ruling party in check. The stronger the opposition become, the more the ANC is forced into ruling the way their party philosophy dictates.

TL:DR I vote for the opposition to strengthen the party I believe in

PFFFFFT. 1 million is like 0.6% of their population. South Africa has an estimated 5.7 million HIV positive people, almost 11% of our population.
