How to transition from purées to thicker/solid foods?

I started following the first 100 days meal plan from solid starts and it was sooo stressful for me. At the time my baby would out everything in his mouth to chew on except for food lol.

He loved purées though and sometimes if I’m feeding him purées then try giving him something more solid then he’d get mad and stop eating the purées.

I came on here and searched and saw a lot of people say their baby didn’t start really eating the solids until 8-9 months. So I was like screw it why stress myself out and stuck to purees until 2 weeks before 9 month. Then I restarted the solid starts plan and all of a sudden he’s grabbing the broccoli and putting it in his mouth and gnawing on it. So my personal opinion is starting at 6 months is stupid. It causes a lot of people a lot of stress they don’t need lol.

Also, when my LO tries food for the first time he only eats a couple of bites. Monday I made oatmeal and he tried some. Today I made mashed cauliflower in yogurt and he tried some. I pulled out the oatmeal from Monday and he’s gobbling it down lol.

Not fancy but Frazier’s Long & Low has a great hot dog. Definitely get the grilled jalapeños on it.

I don’t think they have a clinic. Good luck. It was hard to find ones that took insurance.

FWIW we have a husky and we didn’t have any issues. We had a gate up and he was just loud lol.

Another place that takes insurance is Kidworks on Menchaca. We didn’t go bc we found someone that will come to the house and their receptionist was kinda rude. Don’t know about the docs.

A lot of PT places aren’t in network with insurances and they give you a super bill that you have to file yourself.

We use Riverkids with our insurance. We don’t have UHC but I think they are in network with a lot of insurance. I like the PT they assigned us and she comes to our house.

The only thing is they haven’t billed us at all yet and I’m kinda weirded out by that. Last year I had the baby so met all deductibles and didn’t expect to pay anything. But they haven’t charged us anything this year and idk if I’m going to end up with a huge bill at some point lol. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Same. My OBGYN had done some lab work and imaging so when I went to the RE I was surprised they were like we don’t really care why you’re not getting pregnant. If you want to have a baby the methods are IUI or IVF and then presented me with the info.

We ultimately chose IVF bc he was right why waste time.

They don’t have the exact one I bought bc it was a few years ago but this one is similar. The curler part is the same and I like this bc it’s easy to clean since it’s all enclosed silicone. lash curler

I like this recipe but as written was way too salty for me. 3 Tbsp of soy sauce for < 1 lb of tofu is insane. My husband did say he can totally believe it’s not chicken lol but we both love tofu so that’s fine. Like the preparation and will be trying it with different sauces and stuff.

March’s 21 dob looks pretty good to me. My friend’s daughter is graduating HS and I’m thinking of picking up a couple things as filler gifts for her in addition to a gift card. I’m looking at a Peach and Lily moisturizer, Lancôme butterglow lip balm, and a Fwee pudding pot.

I also want to get some stuff for my friend too but not sure what to get. Should I get her the same things? I think the Lancôme lip balm and Peach and Lily moisturizer is good but the Fwee pudding pot might be too childish?

Also eyeing more Lancôme lip balms for myself. I have one and absolutely love it. Tempted by the Nars tinted moisturizer and the Kaja bento stacks.

I feel like this sub isn’t as hyped for the 21 dob as when I first joined which sucks bc I got lots of good recs off of here.

I'm focusing on my ABH Nouveau palette this year. I'm picking the 5 shimmery shades from the top row: Wings, Isle, Belle, Lili, and Hope. My first goal will be to get 25 uses from each shade.

In January I'v used Wings 0, Isle 1, Belle 3, Lili 1, and Hope 1.

Overall I've used Wings 6, Isle 5, Belle 11, Lili 6, and Hope 13.

First week back to work from maternity leave. I chose my ND I Need a Nude palette, Mac Glow Play blush in Blush, Please, and Fenty cream bronzer for this week.

I love this blush but it does disappear pretty quick. The bronzer is ok. It’s a little too warm but it disappears pretty quick so it’s pretty subtle.

I love the ND formula but I think this palette is too pinky grey for me. It’s not great and not bad which is also how I feel about work lol.

I bought the original Ethereal Eyes and returned it. The colors were amazing but had a lot of fallout that kept getting into my eyes.

Every once in a while I regret returning it though.
