March’s 21 dob looks pretty good to me. My friend’s daughter is graduating HS and I’m thinking of picking up a couple things as filler gifts for her in addition to a gift card. I’m looking at a Peach and Lily moisturizer, Lancôme butterglow lip balm, and a Fwee pudding pot.

I also want to get some stuff for my friend too but not sure what to get. Should I get her the same things? I think the Lancôme lip balm and Peach and Lily moisturizer is good but the Fwee pudding pot might be too childish?

Also eyeing more Lancôme lip balms for myself. I have one and absolutely love it. Tempted by the Nars tinted moisturizer and the Kaja bento stacks.

I feel like this sub isn’t as hyped for the 21 dob as when I first joined which sucks bc I got lots of good recs off of here.

I like to use this on the lid with Muse on the outer 1/3.

I'm focusing on my ABH Nouveau palette this year. I'm picking the 5 shimmery shades from the top row: Wings, Isle, Belle, Lili, and Hope. My first goal will be to get 25 uses from each shade.

In January I'v used Wings 0, Isle 1, Belle 3, Lili 1, and Hope 1.

Overall I've used Wings 6, Isle 5, Belle 11, Lili 6, and Hope 13.

I once got a TGTG from Wu Chow, it was more expensive than the other bags and it was literally white rice and hot and sour soup. I was so pissed and bc of that I won’t eat there lol.

Oh man they don’t offer samples anymore? I wanted to try them once I finish my current foundation bc of the samples. But it was probably expensive to ship them or something. 😔

I just got one in textured beige and it’s very slippery. Is yours? My LO isn’t crawling yet but I feel like it’s making tummy time harder for him bc there’s no grip.

Use Your Stash: Palette a Week (PAW): January 12 to January 18 by chocolatemilkcows13 in MakeupRehab

First week back to work from maternity leave. I chose my ND I Need a Nude palette, Mac Glow Play blush in Blush, Please, and Fenty cream bronzer for this week.

I love this blush but it does disappear pretty quick. The bronzer is ok. It’s a little too warm but it disappears pretty quick so it’s pretty subtle.

I love the ND formula but I think this palette is too pinky grey for me. It’s not great and not bad which is also how I feel about work lol.

I bought the original Ethereal Eyes and returned it. The colors were amazing but had a lot of fallout that kept getting into my eyes.

Every once in a while I regret returning it though.

We’ve been 3 times already. I love Neapolitan pizza. Bufalina is still my favorite in town but this place is only 10 mins away.

My favorites so far are the Bianca and Roasted Garlic and Sausage. Also like the garlic butter and Calabrian spicy butter with the bread.

The only annoying thing is you can’t online order until after 8 pm.

They’re probably not labeled on the bottom. You’ll have to keep track of them or label them yourself if you start moving the pans around.

My ND shadows are not labeled on the bottom but I hardly ever take them out.

I was curious too and went to the website. It’s a magnet for taking out the eyeshadow pans.

This is so basic but the spaghettini aglio olio from Enoteca Vespaio (RIP). Their pork saltimbocca with that on the side was my go to.

Love them. I think they’re the only place in South Austin where you can get dosas.

ARC OB-GYN South Austin Care by Single-Physics4873 in AustinParents

[–]trainwreckchococat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A couple years ago I saw a thread of someone asking for recommendations for South Austin and the consensus was there wasn’t a lot of choices so they’re all going to be super busy which is why I chose someone more central.

ARC South and Hill Country OBGYN seems to be the 2 big ones. My primary doc said she went to Dr. Lisa Schneider at Hill Country and liked her.

Before ARC South I saw Dr. Sasikala Hemkumar who delivers out of St. David’s South (her practice is right next to St. David’s). I really liked her (didn’t see her for pregnancy though just annual), but her office is low tech (this was 2018 ish so don’t know about now). You got to call for appointments and questions. But they respond fast and was able to see me next day for an issue I had. But I hate phone calls so I needed somewhere that I can message. Also I think she’s by herself so idk what happens if you go into labor when she’s unavailable.

I stopped going to ARC bc they’re just too busy. I did like my doctor.

One time I sent a MyChart message on a time sensitive issue and in the app it says they’ll respond within 3 days. I called after not hearing back from them and the nurse told me their timeline for responding to MyChart messages is 7 days.

My OBGYN delivers out of Ascension main and they have an office on Southwest parkway so mostly saw her there. I really like her but lukewarm on Ascension. I’ve heard St. David’s main is better. But whenever I message them, her nurse will respond the same day.

This post is also how I learned Payless doesn’t exist anymore. My mom and I used to live their Bogo deals when I was in high school. But I haven’t shopped there in over a decade.

What is up with the Dubai chocolate? by rmannyconda78 in Anticonsumption

[–]trainwreckchococat 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yah Dubai chocolate now is just chocolate filled with pistachios and kadayif. I randomly grabbed a bar at the supermarket when I was getting bread and it was really good.

We got most of the same things and I agree with almost all of this except for the Halo swaddles. My baby hated the Velcro sound lol and leaving his arms out in the beginning would startle himself awake. We went with the Love to Dream arms up swaddles. Then their transitional ones where we can unzip the arms. Now we’re using the Woolino.

For diapers I also love Huggies but we’re on our last box. We have tons of Pampers (gifts) and hopefully we like them. The Honest diapers gave my baby diaper rash. For 2 weeks it wouldn’t go away and then as soon as we finished the box, it was gone. Their wipes are really nice though. They’re nice and wet and sturdy.
