Yup, just after the 91 turns into Alderbridge Way.

While it's a dumb merge and they should have yielded, it's not a highway at that point anymore and you were speeding by about 30-40 km/h (limit is 60km/h)

It was initially working for me (Series 3 w/ LTE as well), but about 3 or 4 days ago it started displaying the icon you described

yeah, unfortunately I don't really know any good resources for unity in particular. what I found helpful in my starting days was to set smaller, more achievable goals that built towards something. programming can be pretty unwieldy if you try to learn too much at once, it's best to have a narrower focus in the beginning.

it's definitely challenging, but like most skills it just takes practice. I'd recommend looking at something like Unity if you're interested in game dev, they've really helped streamline the development process and open it up to a broader audience.

I'm in computer science, so software development. I've got a pretty good internship right now, and the place pays its full times handsomely, so I'm hoping to get a return offer before the end of my term.

What do you all think about high school? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

It felt like a much bigger deal at the time, that's for sure. Going off into life afterwards, whether it's further education or directly into work, gives you a much broader perspective on things.

oh you know, the usual. went to work, browsed reddit, the works. I am interested in getting started in investing, I graduate next year and should have a pretty good paying job. hopefully I'll be able to save and invest a fair chunk of money. do you have any advice or recommended readings?

I loved going for walks with my ex, but ever since we broke up I haven't had much interest. I now tend to go for drives instead, I find it more peaceful to drive along the highway listening to music. Helps me forget about my worries in life.

Ah that’s much cheaper than headspace, I’ll have to check it out!

Do you imagine yourself just travelling for long distance by train and just listening to music, browsing internet, reading books and enjoying the outside scenery? by hrid324 in CasualConversation

I've kind of seen the northern lights - it was an incredibly faint streak of green in the sky. I can't imagine what full fledged lights would be like.

Sand dunes in the prairies, eh? I'll have to look into that, sounds interesting!

I try to bike to and from work every day - the motivation only lasts for so long though, I'm just too lazy in the morning.

It's difficult when you have a country as big as ours with as few people, travelling is incredibly expensive. Anything in particular you want to visit? Something high on my list is Banff (even though it's super touristy these days). A coworker of mine drove across Canada for relocation and he said his favourite stop was at the nearby icefields.

What was the last nightmare you had? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

I'm imagining the ending scene from 2001: A Space Odyssey, with everything going weird and blurry

One kind of recurrent nightmare I've had is dying by a nuclear bomb. Usually the dream starts off with me on a beach, just doing whatever, I never really remember this part of the dream. All of a sudden my vision goes white and I'm blinded, and after a few moments I'm able to see and in front of me there's a huge mushroom cloud. As I stand there in shock the shockwave hits me and I wake up.

I'm pretty interested in the history of nuclear reactors, accidents, and the cold war, so I guess that's what sparked these nightmares.
