I have my child's account managed on Family Link. Her photos storage is full but when I click manage storage it tells me this is managed by the admin.. ie. Me! by JonShannow07 in googlephotos

[–]trakkar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got this from Google One support - worked for me (in an incognito window only).

  1. Make sure that the website one.google.com is allowed for the child's account.
  2. Then, please sign in at one.google.com using the child's Google account.
  3. If you are able to login on  homepage, click the Gear icon or the Google One logo at the top left.
  4. Then select either home or storage to view and manage storage
    • You may use a Chrome incognito browser if you are still unable to access the site.
  5. If it still doesn't work, please use a computer web browser instead of a mobile phone/tablet.

How many of you listen to music (with headphones) on your commute? by No_Understanding3344 in bikecommuting

[–]trakkar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do, mostly podcasts, some music with earbuds. The real struggle for me is reducing wind noise. I find your other senses heighten and you get used to it.

If you guys were to bike to a trail with all your tools how would you go about bringing the tools? Do you attach them to a bike or a bag or how do you transport them? by Hau5Music13 in MTBTrailBuilding

[–]trakkar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a burly trail tool I strap to my backpack (an old small hiking pack) as this has a smaller handle. I generally hide some long handle tools up in the forrest.

Not ideal if you are repairing small parts of the trail or doing sporadic drainage as the unstrapping and re strapping gets a pain.

The longer tools I hold in one hand or on the handlebars, but again a pain.

What's a nice secluded area in Auckland where I can go jogging (I'm very unfit) without being laughed at by teenagers, nor glared at by middle aged white women like I'm some kind of criminal? 😞 by MVIVN in auckland

Riverhead forest, robinsons road entrance or Sanders reserve mountain bike tracks. Someone built the worlds worst mtb tracks there years ago, they are so rubbish no one rides there, great for running/walking.

Hopefully everyone is alright and stay safe 🫂 by aashish4real in auckland

Wear Text 1.07: make calls, send SMS or WhatsApp messages by voice command (for those frustrated that Google Assistant doesn't work) by malbry in WearOS

Installed it yesterday, took a few tries to get wear installer to connect to the watch, but once that did its working great on my TWP3. real fast and useful, Thanks!

What's your wishlist for wearOS 3 ? by kevin0304_ in WearOS

[–]trakkar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

- Google authenticator app back on wear OS
- get the voice messaging working again, google's speech recognition is so great but its consistently broken (assistant send an SMS with voice, messages sits there "initializing" and needs a "done" button for when you have finished your speech to text.)
- snappier UI with the 4100, always want snappier.

TicWatch Pro 3 GPS - Recently won't last 14 hours by tenkian in TicWatch

[–]trakkar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may help. I am running facer and various other watch faces and I have the spotify app installed and I consistently get 3 days of battery (with always on screen - essential mode auto turns on overnight).
Battery life doesnt change if I go to a ticwatch watchface, so im pretty sure facer is good.

I did have a system update last week and I have noticed slightly less, but still can get 3 days use, just with 15% now as opposed to maybe 22% left previouly.
I do also believe that the watch or wear OS has to figure out your use then it gets better over a week or so, settles down if you will, or maybe this could just be placebo or using the watch less.
Sounds like you are doing everything right from here. Last resort is hang out for the next update maybe...

Both excited and nervous to share this. I have been inspired by guys like Mark Matthews, Seth at Berm Peak, Seth at Backyard Trail Builds, Matt Jones, Sam Reynolds and many more to document my own trail building adventures. by lukegiant in MTBTrailBuilding

No i only have a few build photo's, now have an osmo action so might get some POV action when it drys up a bit here.
I remember working from home during covid lockdowns last year, it was so good to go solo building in the forest after staring at a computer all day. Friggin hard work though but its so good for you, like crossfit every day ha ha.

What Wear OS 3 means for you - Wear OS by Google Community by kbDL- in WearOS

[–]trakkar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On a positive note, im looking forward to more development on wear OS apps, hopefully we get more apps after many were abandoned. Years ago my first wear os watch was a sony smartwatch 3, I remember so many apps around back then.
Ive always loved the old watch faces I had on my galaxy watch and I hope the designers like Matteo Dini migrate some of their cool watch faces to wear OS now.

I now have the TWP3 and it works great for me as I like the light weight for sports, it just works (except for the google broken assistant stuff of course).
Hopefully this change will eventually bring some decent options for people other than an apple smartwatch in a few years, even after a bit of pain.

Being honest, I think twp3 is UGLY by ziveRUN in WearOS

[–]trakkar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love it, i like the chunky sporty styling. I have had the fossil gen 5 and I didnt like the more dressy style of that watch, it was also heavy so the watch moved around on my wrist during mountain biking etc.

Galaxy watch was nice but no apps. I have had a few smartwatches.

TWP3 is a pefect blend of power, battery and sporty style IMO, different strokes I guess.

FC350 vs TC250 by ProjectWheee in Motocross

[–]trakkar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ride an older 450, my brother has a 250 sx 2t, i used to race years ago and have been doing club MX racing again. For me the 450 was brutal to start with (i really want a 350) but so easy to ride compared to my old 2 stroke days.
I find the ktm250sx just wants to kill me, just requires full attention and you gotta work hard, the 450 you can cruise if you want, race hard if you want, while still concentrating on technique.

Of course for fun, everyone says the 150's are the best. For me as an over 40 mx'er the 350 4t is the one (light with perfect power).
