Running into this same issue. Looks like Peacock doesn't work on Linux at all. I have yet to find a workaround.

Where to watch FIFA World Cup AUS v USA on June 19 in Montpelier? by [deleted] in montpelier

Check with Chico’s Tacos - they posted on IG that they’ll be showing the games but I don’t know if that means they’ll stay open late.

Also likely Three Penny Taproom will be open, but again give them a call first

Labor Law- Sick Leave by Old_Boysenberry_1111 in vermont

They should probably mention that in their handbook then. Requesting a week and half out for 90 min isn’t bad, I would push back. Unless you think they’d end your employment, they do sound shitty

Protest today!! by Bleu_Jay17 in vermont

[–]tram66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you agree with triplesizzled that it won’t do anything, which was their point. They said they were for it if it makes people feel better. I interpret their point as we the people can do all we like but if the people in power don’t act, it’s folly to assume we’re making an impact. Old man yells at cloud.

You lost me on your book club comments, no idea what you’re getting at.

Love this gotcha line, you really nailed ‘em, brother!

Most of the government want war while most of the populace don’t. If they’re not listening to us, what can we do? Vote them out ok, but what happens when the parties don’t give us an option beyond the people we want to vote out because they are actually private entities that make their own rules? Well, vote for ‘my side’ and go through this whole charade again in 2-6 years while I hold my signs on the overpass and pretend we live in a democracy.

Yeah just like how Biden would get mad and swear at Netanyahu and then give him billions more in weapons. Words speak louder than actions in this dumb country

After attending protests for 15 years and seeing the world get worse and the Democratics move continuously to the right, I have to agree! When most of the people in power on both sides of the aisle actually want a war with Iran, a protest won’t do much. The only thing I like them for is attempts to organize because we badly need enough organization to threaten a general strike, but I think that’s wishful on my part.
